While that's cool, I think apple stores still need humans to make the customers feel special about their purchase. You can't really get that from a machine. Yet.
Not meant as flamebait, but I believe Android would never have gotten as popular as now if the iphone hadn't been limited to one carrier and priced higher than the android phones in the USA.
The US isn't the only country in the world you know. Where I come from androids are still more popular, even though there are no carrier locks or anything like that (in fact, most mobiles are bought from a shop and then you put in the sim card, not bought as part of a contract)
Lets do something constructive, list of Indie games which 'aim higher' or whatever. Just to give each other/interested people a few interesting games to play which aren't the generic mass produced things.
"Is it because the gaming world has gone too corporate and is no longer exclusive to small teams of genius misfits and creative underdogs"
While its true you have large corporations producing last year's games with better graphics, you shouldn't discount the indie scene.
I got the last humble bundle (and the ones before that) and its amazing how fun and different certain game concepts are. Support smaller developers who you feel are creative enough for your likes, and the industry will get better. If everyone keeps buying 'generic shooter with better graphics VII', then the industry will churn out more of those.
If it had a light sensor stuck to it, you could program the bulb to give a light output depending on how dark the surroundings are. That might be fun to play with, you could pretty much choose how light the surroundings are.
so we can see some pron for free...
You're new to this whole 'internet' thing aren't you?

America the Land of Liberty*. Freeing the people from oppression**
*Note: Liberty is only available other countries.
**Does not count for people living in America

Who wants to start us off?

Now take your security holes anywhere you go!
As I've said earlier.
Piracy means people get free access.
Free access means everyone can have it.
Everyone can have it means Communism.
Communism is unamerican.
Better Dead than Red!

Its also probably because nothing gets the public riled up more than hunting down 'terrorists'. They're our new pariah group.
Public Service Announcement?
If its anything like the copy of windows which I 'own' its in a hidden partition on my laptop which I can't access unless I want to format everything.
This is a bad decision on their part.
Granted XP is ancient and not very supported, but its still heavily used. If we're talking about end-users, its more likely to go:
"Aww, not supported. I guess I'll use something else"
instead of
"Aww, not supported. Let me pay a few hundred euros to upgrade my OS (and maybe need to improve my hardware) to use this product/service."
We're talking about Macs here.
Note that the above policy does not extend to locations visited while using iOS.
You could add another octet at the f- . Oh wait.
"lawsuit 'solely motivated by monetary interests "
A lawsuit done for monetary interests? Who ever heard of this?
Which gives you an additional reason to move there permanently.
That I actual prefer the artistic imaginings of them.
It doesn't look as cool as I would have expected it. Does look fascinating though.
Don't shoplift or you'll get blown up with a wand.
And here I was thinking that "Functionality" meant being able to do something useful.
Using a solid lead window makes it a very secure window, but you're not going to say its 'functional' are you?
I think apple iOS is the most secure (tehehe) because of all the people searching for flaws to Jailbreak it with. Its like free security testing.

It looks pretty basic to me.
If it had a bunch of sensors stuck to it, you could reprogram something pretty cool, but as it is, what are you going to do with it?
But then they'll tell other potential buyers, and they'll be in a REALLY bad mood because they paid money for it.
I meant "There was no U-boot 235" not there's no U-235 isotope.
They didn't have nuclear submarines in those days.
And there's no U 235. There's a U 238 which is both an isotope of Uranium and a U-boot.
