    Hell if somebody gave me one I would use it also. Most of the mac hardware is very nicely built. I ran OSX on a older mac and that is about a useless as
    a drink coaster. You load a version of linux and you get every software package and tool you could ever want. You load osx and you get nothing but a outdated version of IE or a hacked up version of the kde browser, hell not even a compiler.

    anything else on the system. It does not matter much we banned macromedia's web site at the company as soon as we noticed it started installing yahoo toolbar. 100% loss of all trust, they just got placed in the same ranks as Real and Kazzaa

    Man one of our doze admins just about blew a blood vessel yesteday when he installed flash on a machine and it installed that thing...He went in and immediately banned the site so yes it is gonna cause problems and it already has.

    Actually there is a high probability you are using a pirated copy of windows.

    It is also funny you mention ease of use because I just click a open office Icon to use it on my linux box, last time I checked that is the same exact action you perform on a windows machine. Hell I can even make it easier on myself and make it a single click to open it.

    Now give me a ide and some documentation so that I can create xul apps. The biggest push should be to get a xul ide together to help extend and push the platform. I don't care if it is written in xul or python or whatever, don't point me to xul maker either it looks like ass and is being developed way to slowly. I love firefox now make it damn easy for me to build cool xul apps.

    You can get better results from a ordinary web cam. Take the ir filter off of the lens and put it back together, add a few ir led's and bingo you got night vision.

    wxWindows is fairly cool but it still has many quirks. The thing python is missing is about to be released GPL qt on windows. I agree, java and C# just are not as productive as good ole python.

    So what exactly is this going to get me over say something like using Python and the soon to be released gpl qt for windows? Python is a way more productive language than either C#,C,C++, java or VB so what is the benefit?, I just don't see it.

    Since I don't have to buy licenses for anything I run, why hell not yes double well why not even triple the price. While you are at it raise the cost of Windows by 200%, sounds really great to me.

    Ah but their burn rate is over 6 billion a year. And the actual amount is 35 billion this means less than 5 years to be reduced to ashes. You have to remember their stock value will crash way before that, employees start leaving for high ground. Then marketing hurts from cut backs, development hurts they go into bug fix mode only and then the inevitable death occurs.

    I think IBM can make a good case for a appeal on discovery to the 10th Circuit based on this ruling. They can even use the judgement to strengthen the case against this fishing expedition.
