I still buy Logitech mice, some of them are really good. I have had their MMO mouse (G600?) for years and it still functions as new.

I remember the 518's I have had. They had a fatal flaw: They would develop "crunchy click" after prolonged use. I have had it happen to both right and left buttons, the click develops a crunching sound that is highly annoying... ultimately the button stops working.

So, yeah, I don't miss the 518, but I did use mine enough that the logo and surrounding plastic all turned white from the paint being rubbed off over time...

I guess the thing that most people miss is all of the value add that comes with an Office 365 subscription.

Not to be a shill or anything but with a base $12.50/user/month you get the Business Premium tier which lets you run the business edition (not GP aware) of all the office apps including Access, gets you the online version of the same apps, gets you a hosted Exchange server, hosted Skype/Lync server, 1TB of OneDrive storage a hosted SharePoint site and a ton of other stuff.

Then keep in mind that all of that software is kept up-to-date for you, the data is backed up for you (though you should still do your own backups using something like Veeam's free O365 backup utility) and you don't have to operate any of the server infrastructure or maintain a crap-ton of licenses.... it really is sort of a no-brainer to go with O365.

Sorry. I know that isn't a popular stance but we have run the numbers and it made sense for us and apparently we are not alone.

The only (not valid) reason that I can come up with for replacing it is that I am a little bored with it and want something new.

But then I think about it for a minute and realize that the new phone will be fun for a few weeks and then it will be the exact same slab that I have currently. So what's the point?

  11. Also, good luck getting a tow truck in any kind of weather emergency (like a polar vortex).

I wasted a week waiting for a tow from my insurance-provided roadside assistance program.

I finally had to secure service on my own and it wasn't easy to find a place that didn't just drop my call or tell me to call back later.

I am thinking that towing is a business that runs near or at capacity normally (you probably don't want extra trucks sitting idle) and any kind of weather that causes an increase in volume breaks the system...

An obligatory towing system would have to be a Tesla operated endeavor with extra capacity built in.

I personally think that you are bringing a lot of baggage to the table when judging the new movies.

I was born in 1976 and, while I didn't see the original in the theater (I did see Empire and Return in the theater), these movies were a staple for me throughout my childhood and I love them. I am as invested in the franchise as any SW fan.

That said, I think that Force Awakens and Last Jedi movies were phenomenal.

I wish those had been the movies I had grown up with. Rey's "hero's journey" is so much better than Luke's was. Let's face it, Luke just came off as a whiny entitled baby. I never liked Luke or his story except for, briefly, in Return, when he faces Jabba. I feel like that was the Luke that we saw in Last Jedi.

I think you just need to take these movies at face value and don't let a bunch of external inputs or nostalgia taint your view.
