If you knock out electricity on a warship it can't fire anything. The turrets turn by electric motor there are others that control elevation of the barrel. Fire control is all electronic. So it doesn't matter if your talking about a rail gun or a 5 inch 54, no 'tricity no boom.
I suspect over 90% of those were from automatic update. I have yet to meet one person that went out and intentionaly got IE7. I have already removed it off of a dozen or so customer boxes and explained about "notify" on auto update. It's a great way to avoid WGA too.

It is still one of the worst craplets of all time. Nobody wants to see Dell or HP (or the local whitebox) logos on damn near every screen possible on a computer.
This has been tried a few times before but this time by a band with a good enough song to make it. I hope they don't sell out and that they make the top 10. That would cause major heart problems throughout the RIAA. More power to this band and I hope they make it.
They aren't going to find a cure for Aids any time soon. Sorry but in the entire history of medicine they have yet to find a cure for a single viral disease. They have come up with many vacinations to prevent them but never a cure. There is a much better chance of a vacine than a cure and even that will be difficult because it seems to be a moving target that evolves/morphs/changes just enough that nothing works more than a few times on any variant.

As a tech I always remove all traces of wild tangent from every computer that comes in for a tune/clean up, and any other that I work on. It's not a criminal database. Everyone that has ever been fingerprinted for any reason, is in it. Go through the background investigation for any job, my wife was fingerprinted to work in a day care. Like I said before the FBI has been collecting them for close to 70 years, it has not been a secret. I first heard about it in Jr. High in the late 60s. This is a non-story for that reason. When prints a collected from a crime scene they are sent to the FBI to find out if they match anyone on file. They used to use actual print cards. Now they have supposedly scan them all to digital and use computers to match them.

No, they stay in office for a couple of terms and quit. Because they have more important things to do. If they can make 3 or 4 time the money doing a "real" job they won't try to stay forever. It means a rethink of the term "public service", changing it back to what was intended.

There is another way. Starting at the local level only elect people to office that have done real work. Doctors, nurses, teachers, contractors, anyone who has actually had to pay bills with what they earn. No more Ted Kennedys who have never had a real job in their life. No professional politicians of any kind at any level. The intent of the Consitution was to have a CITIZEN legislature that went to Washington, got the job done and returned home to the jobs that allowed them to survive. We were not supposed to have a permanent ruling class. Start at the state level, get the legislature to pass a Constitutional ammendment that makes the pay for members of the House & Senate the median wage of the country. It only takes 37 states to make the change no matter what the clowns in DC say about it.
That goes with what I've said for years: party doesn't matter when they are all bought and paid for. There isn't one 2 term Democrat that is any cleaner than any 2 term Republican. In the first term a minority of politicians think they can actually change things, by the end of their second term, they know better. The system is so bad that it corrupts everyone sooner or later. Every now and then someone stays straight but is ignored by the media and their peers and dissapears into the corner of irrelevance.
The advantage of paying them less is it would make the job less attractive. Then we might get back to what the founding fathers intended; a citizen legislature that goes to Washington, gets the job done and returns home to real jobs.
Congress makes their own rules which are not nessisarily the same as the ones they make for everyone else to follow. They are not going to allow something that makes them look as lazy and ineffectual as they are.

If they were allowed to point the cameras anywhere else but at the person speaking, voters might notice that the room is mostly empty. If voters knew how little time Congresscritters actually spent "in Congress" they might get upset at the ridiculus salary the goof offs get paid.
All members of Congress should be paid the average wage of the U. S., they might do something to actually help people then. Remember: If you make less than $145,000, you have NO representation in Washington. They work for their tax bracket and the higher ones they aspire to.
Game & Fish officers have been using decoys in one form or another for over 15 years. These are used to catch people road hunting, night hunting and poaching out of season. Adding robotics or animation is just another step. There are rules for hunting in every state in the U. S. and most other countries, when you hunt illegally you deserve to get caught and punished. This has never been ruled "entrapment" in any court in the U. S. that I have heard of. Just like a cop posing as a hooker isn't entrapment. The bait is out there, nobody forces you to bite.
How are they going to prove it was done intentionaly? I have a serious workshop, something could have fallen on it like my favorite short handled 3LB hammer!
