  1. reminds me of Episode one... on The PC As Theater: THX comes to the PC · · Score: 1

Funny that lucasfilm/lucasarts/lucas conglomerate should be the one to initiate that...sorta like the movie theater's requirements for screening Episode one....largest theater, minimum number of screenings per week/day, skywalker or other THX soundsystems.....ewokskin upholstered seats etc...

don't get me wrong, lucaseverything has certainly pioneered the sound and film industry with their sound systems and their digitally screened/filmed movies. I am impressed with what they have done, just not impressed enough to spend $2000 on the latest. :)

  2. seems like a good idea on Is Tuxtops' Next Project Custom Disk Images? · · Score: 2

I think this is a good plan, it will make preinstallation a lot easier and there will be a lot easier than actually installing on every computer. I know how much easier it is to send images to computers rather than actually installing and configuring the drives and stuff. I think it makes a lot of sense and should definitely be tried rather than wasting time installing and configing.

  9. Proof of Santa's Existance on Is There A Santa Claus? · · Score: 2

Yes..there are actually several rebuttals. The major one that I have would be that the reason santa lives in the north pole is that he needs to precool all of the reindeer so that they can withstand the extreme temperatures. Another rebuttal is located at tiac.net and there are some more besides that as well. Another good rebuttal is located Here. Some other points that these articles look over is that many Christian households do not believe in Santa, thus he would skip them. In fact, a huge quantity of people do not believe in him, therefore the parents buy the gifts. This causes santa to have MANY less stops.

Some more info on santa claus is located Here and some radar and video coverage of last night's trip is located noradsanta.com I think that after looking over all of this evidence, it proves that these people have absolutely no lives, and I am going to look pretty silly posting a defense for santa. :)

  14. qwerty style boring on Non-Traditional Keyboard Reviews · · Score: 1

Personally, I find qwerty keyboards to hamper my typing skills. The keyboard itself doesn't lend itself to fast typing. In fact, my left hand does 56% of the typing, or so I have heard. I just can't stand the way the keyboard is set up. The DVORAK keyboard is slightly better in my opinion, but I haven't used them enough to tell for sure. I am really looking into getting this keybowl keyboard....the weirdest one I saw was in Time Digital this week. (i think) and it had all the keys depressed down into it so that that you can type normally with your hands in perfect position. All of the keys are sort of depressed into a big dip in the keyboard. It looks pretty neat and i think I could get the hang of it. I don't think the price is an issue though...the way I see it, if I spend even 100$ on a keyboard, it could possibly save my wrists for the rest of my life. Carpal Tunnel isn't fun.

I have used BeOS a little, and the GUI reminds me WAY too much of MacOS...anyway..I think that it won't hurt the opensource market at all, and if anything, it will detach some of the robots from microsoft to start using it.

HTML does what it is supposed to do very well. If you have problems "coding" HTML look into getting a WYSIWYG and you can actually see what you are making. Or you can use M$ products such as word and Publisher and save files as .html files or use a converting program to convert to HTML.
