"with the labels also to blame for not properly suing them out of existence"
College kids are, and will be a higher priority then music industry. Hell, we can live without good music, (remember the 80s?), but we cannot, as a society, live without college kids.
I think this is exactly as it should be. Unless specifically requested by the customer, I think, ISP shouldn't block any forms of traffic. Unfortunately it is difficult to find ISPs like that nowadays.
The problem here is "consequences". Basically, you, as a parent, is very limited in the sort of consequences you can bestow on your kid for misbehaving. Especially when they are little and do not perceive long term cause effect links that well. Saying to a 5 year's old we are not going to the zoo because you broke mommie's favourite vase 2 days ago doesn't work, because the cause and effect are too remote. And with teens it depends on the temperament of the child. What are the options? Grounding doesn't work if your child is smart and daring enough and you do not turn your house into a prison. When my parents tried to ground me, I said "fuck you" and made a cloth rope from 6th floor and instead of them being worried that I am 2 hours late from a friend's house they were worried that I have been nobody knows where for 2 days. They tried to remove my pocket allowance. I said "fuck you" and went guitar playing in the subway. So, what exactly do you do?
Well, fallout is one of the better ones I agree, but before I got anywhere in the first one, I think I had to kill some 200+ rats and other minor irritating critters. Same thing. Not that I didn't like the game.

And how exactly are they going to make money? Selling access to a wiki page?
I completely agree, that the right to bear arms is important and that people complaining about erosion of liberties seem to be missing that particular one on purpose. Unfortunately I think that even armed populace also doesn't do anything against highly trained and better equipped military forces.
This is true, but only superficially. It is not like Linux "has" 129 filesystems, but it ***supports*** a lot of different file systems. So weather you want to access your NTFS windows partition or HFS MacOS disc you can do it. More or less every distribution out there will format your partitions as ext3 at install time by default. Windows on the other hand only supports two filesystems (not One File System) which are FAT32 and NTFS. So if I have a disk from my friend's iMac or linux box or solaris server or IRIX workstation or basically anything except windows, I will not be able to read it in windows whatever I do.

And what exactly is wrong with that? Why is it that everyone assumes that work is mandatory for everyone and not working is somehow a crime? Wake up, we are not living in stone age anymore. All the more or less developed countries gather enough taxes to feed a LOT of non working people. Unfortunately the money is spent on all the stupid stuff. Just imagine if all the US military budget was spent on social assistance programs, just how many people can you feed on that?
Well, if you lived in Mexico, you would not need to fear deportation. And if you like to live in US, just find a company that will sponsor you a work visa. Don't complain that it is uncomfortable to do something illegal, it is supposed to be. Mind you that in this instance the question of weather the immigration laws are reasonable is not relevant, the laws are what they are and you are breaking them.
The fact that Bush is better then Saddam (not so obvious, considering that we never had Saddam for a president and we cannot tell what Bush would do if he was in a position of a dictator), doesn't mean that Bush is a nice guy. Saddam is a bastard. Bush is also a bastard. Comparing them is not possible, cause they are not governing under the same circumstances. And the only thing not allowing Bush to turn US into another North Korea is the constitution and federal laws. And Bush keeps trying to undermine them. And yes, if we say we have freedom of speech, that means that anyone can say anything even if it hurts.
Yes, kids don't need cell phones. They also don't need ice cream. And they definitely don't need TV or computers. And they don't need toys And kids don't need clothes when it is warm.
So, until they can pay for all of it, you shouldn't buy any of the items mentioned.
Actually, most goverments do a lot to protect you from you. To name a few examples, the goverment protects you from poisoning yourself by strong medications, the goverment protects you from getting addicted to drugs, the a lot of goverments protect you from throwing your money away on gambling and from getting morally depraved by using prostitutes. There are a lot of other things goverment is protecting you from doing to yourself and a lot of people take these things for granted, just because this was always there.
Eh... Mind you, that it is possible to get your call record from your celluar network provider. So erasing your call history and address book only helps to prevent access to your private info in case of your phone being lost or stolen.
OK, I will bite. When I invite a woman to a restaurant, I expect certain things of her. I expect her to eat with me, maintain a polite conversation, generally behave in a socially acceptable fashion and other similar things. When I invite a woman to see a movie, I expect her to be quiet during the show, expect her to discuss the movie with me afterwards etc. When I invite a woman to my home after dinner and a movie I am doing so in order to obtain the level of privacy required to start to "know her better". I don't necessarily expect to get laid (hope, yes, but not expect), but I do expect her to understand that we are going to my place to get private with specifically sexual activities in mind. That is unless I have clearly stated a different reason to invite her, like we were talking about books and I promised to loan her a particular one. So, I would be surprised and even insulted if the girl gets all funny about it. If she just wanted a cup of coffee, we could go to a cafe. Such a situation, obviously doesn't warrant the use of force, nothing excuses rape. The article doesn't state, that the girl was raped. And even if she did, statutory rape is still considered such even if consentual. Mind you, that at 19 it is a bit difficult to properly handle your hormones, so the guy could be pretty insistent and of course a 14-year old is not as experienced in these things and might have put herself into a bad situation because of lack of experience.
Actually, I switched to a Shuttle XPC based system, exactly, so that it doesn't sit on the floor gathering dust, but on the table where the air is cleaner.

Well, nowadays it is not a given. Vista didn't :)
Screw the textbooks, if you trademark red circle, you should go after Japan!

mp3sparks.com is actually allofmp3 under different name. I was able to login with my allofmp3 user name and had kept my allofmp3 balance.
I don't know what world you are living in, but here, we have unlimited messages plans.

Of course they do, if their language doesn't use latin character set :)
Question: How long can a human stay in space without a space suit?
Answer: Almost indefinitely <evil grin>
If everyone understands you in the same way, where is the fun in that?

Yup, kill them all and let the Lord sort them.
Get out of your car. NOW!!!
