I used to think that. But you know what. I dont need a crazy plot. My favorite movies are things like Predator, Commando, Lionheart. Give me a badass guy that just goes around being badass blowing shit up, beating people, and just more badassness manly stuff, and ill watch it. There are no new action movie stars except for jason statham i guess, but his movies lack a certain something. Also no more shakycam.

I think companies are finally starting to learn. They are still stuck on the old format pricing tho for some reason. Charging the 60.00 dollars for a digital download of a game is insane seeing as they dont have any manufacturing, processing or logistics costs on said item. That being said i recently picked up Far Cry 3 on XBLA for 20 dollars. A game i would have never otherwise bought, and certainly not bought new.

AKs are some of the toughest most reliable firearms ever produced in the history of man. The chinese variants are a little shittier than their Russian/Eastern Bloc counterparts as they are stamped instead of milled. That being said. I would rather have a chinese AK than any m16/ar15 variant (except the HK416 which uses a piston system similar to the AK and therefore doesnt jam whenver it sees dirt).

Which is the same thing Double Fine is doing. They saw they had alot more money than they had asked for, so decided to tack on more shit. Tim Schafer said that since he didnt want to make a game smaller than Grim Fandango, and he now had the money to do so, then he might as well do it, and it would not be ready for like 2 more years. RotT was fun. I hope new one is as good as the old one.

What about when big name veterans dont have to bend to the whims of publishers. Its not all fine and dandy. Look at the shit double fine is in right now. Raised 3+ million dollars when they only needed 700k, and still managed to not complete their game, but are now way behind. When you dont have a publisher breathing down your neck to get the product out and to worry about profits you end up with shit like this and duke nukem forever.
