When we are free of RIAA labels and they and the RIAA are dead, the independant bands and labels will get a chance to get radio airplay.

OR, we could get tons and tons of "oldies" radio stations (at least that's whats happening here)

    That's just... insane

Here in Mexico I pay 80 peso cents for each text message sent (aprox. 0.057 USD). I pay nothing for messages received. ...and that's because I am using a prepaid phone, most people with monthly plans have unlimited text messaging.

    Or...

You might as well save your Impress presentation in ODF and carry the ODF plugin for MSOffice in an USB stick. That way, you just install the support for ODF and you'll be up and running to view the presentation.

Has anybody actually tried this in the real world?

This sounds like the best possible answer. You do your presentation succesfully, and at the same time, virally introduce ODF support wherever you go...

Maybe, but it would be better to get the law changed so that it can't apply to people consenting to having their picture taken. Don't make it a case-by-case thing as to whether a person under 18 is going to get charged with making "underage porn", change the law. This IS supposedly a country with rule of law, so if the law is wrong that should get charged. It is worse if there are laws that are rarely used to charge people, since that means that police have more power than they should have.

The problem with that is questions of whenever a minor can legally consent to having his/her picture taken...

But seriously, this is really out of proportion... Do we need "baby pictures" and "romeo and juliet" exceptions to child porn laws?

I mean, I have thousands of pictures of my two kids in my computer, some of them in various states of undress... Does it mean I have to delete them?
