Yes, AFAIK only in english speaking countries they celebrate april fools.
In Latin America and Spain, we celebrate "Dia de los Santos Inocentes" (Day of the Holy Innocent) on December 28. Supposedly this is the day when the Catholic Church celebrates those who died without knowing sin, but tradition celebrates it by making pranks and practical jokes in the same way you do on April 1st.
Don't go to any rent or buy any movies, and the MPAA will dry up and go away too! We want to be entertained so we fund groups that entertain us, and then won't give up the entertainment when they try and buy bills in Congress.
Thats sounds more reasonable, and its way too easy where I live, where 90% of all audio and video sold is pirated, and still the local musicians thrive.
The not going to the movies for a year is going to be a tad more difficult though... ; )
Adobe does have a patent on the computer emulation of the PANTONE inks necesary for correct color separation for printer process.
The other non-Adobe products that use PANTONE ink emulation pay Adobe royalties for the use of it.
Please note that I havent said that its impossible to write a CMYK plugin that will give pretty good aproximations of how CMYK color separation will look on the printed page, however theres a very good chance that your nice salmon color you used for your clients ad will print as a horrible hot pink. Something that definetely wont make you look good.
The DMCA is a legal law currently enacted in the United States of America. I think it is a stupid Bullshit law. But it is a law. We are a democracy in this country. If we don't like the laws we have a known procedure for fixing them. Vote the dirty rotten bastards who let it pass out of office. Vote a guy in letting them know that one of the specific reasons you voted for them was to get the repeal of the following list of stupid laws. Then make you're own personal list. Do something to voice you're opinion by getting the stupid law repealled and then you can avoid all these cases in one fell swoop.
You are so naive! You still think politicians at _any_ point think about the little guy.
Listen up, little man. Its a jungle out there, every man for himself, and if you dont have a couple of million dollars to contribute to a politicians campaign don't count on him ever working in your favor. EVER!
So, what should you do? If you care about Bnetd (I dont, but hey, its your call) then you get a copy of the source and stablish a mirror, preferably outside the US. Thats exactly what the people working on DeCCS (a much loftier proyect) did, instead of relying 100% on the EFF to save them.
I know for a fact that I wont be able to avoid watching Attack of the Clones, even as I know that Ill be making MPAA/Lucas richer while watching a movie that will surely dissapoint me.
Sadly enough, Gimp might be a powerful program for your web images work, however Adobe holds a patent when it comes to CMYK colors, which are a must if you want to do print work.
So, for the editorial industry, among others, Photoshop is a must.
Ahh! but you cannot upgrade a 386 to WinME or XP Thats the whole point!
On the other hand, getting updates for a linux distro is quite easy

Problem with A Beautiful Mind is that its a picture that, sadly enough, fails to tell the viewer how much of a jerk John Nash could be, all because of political correctness. OK, he was a genius struggling against mental illness, but his illness made him a victimizer as much as a victim.
Cant believe they gave it best adapted screenplay... LOTR, Shrek or In the Bedroom were better adaptations.
Damm! Even Black Hawk Down is truer to the book than A Beautiful Mind
Tolkien said many times, that LOTR does not, and is not intended to, copy or emulate World War II.
Yes, thats what he said, however if you are writing an epic novel while your country* and most of the countries around it are in the middle of a major conflict, its not logical to think that it will not influence your story one bit.
I didnt say he did it on purpose, but at least some references to WW2 are there.
* Tolkien was born in South Africa, but he always saw himself as british.
Remember that Hong Kong residents have a lot of rights that the rest of the chinese simply do not have. The border with continental China has always been one of the most guarded ever.
In situations like this, a mandatory ID card makes a lot of sense. As a matter of fact, they have always had an ID card, its only smarter now.
And yet you are willing to believe Bill Gates is a good person because hes idiotly showering money over Haiti (assuming he _really_ is doing that, you wouldnt believe how many people do fake charity for tax break reasons)
A much better use for those millions of dollars in charity would be to use them to lobby the 7 richest countries in the world and the world monetary fund into forgiving foreign debt for the poorest countries in the world.
Bono (from U2), another very rich guy, uses his charity money to this end (and also other intelligent charities like Amnesty International).
He also is a stuck up guy with debatable ammounts of talent and a schrewd (sp?) attitude towards business, just like Gates, but you dont see people comparing him with the devil, do you?
Yeah your right, I think that dependancy hell is the main thing holding linux back on the desktop
I beg to difer, but I thats another topic...
apart from a relience on Xfree (this ones a bit controversial)
Controversial? you are a master of understatement!
Its an all out flamewar!
Although I would very much like to know what would you propose as an alternative...

...And Mexico amongst other countries should ask themselves "How did we get to the point were we have to borrow money under such bad terms?". Unfortunately you have a point here, Mexico has owed money to the US ever since US Ambassador in Mexico Joel Roberts Poinsett lulled mexican president Antonio Lopez de SantaAna into a false sense of security and then wrote home recommending a full scale invasion of Mexico.
Lopez de SantaAnna regretfully went into history as one of the most stupid people that ever lived. And Poinsett went home as a hero and went into history as the guy who introduced the Nochebuena flower to the world (called Poinsettia in the US ever since)

Wow, Bondage and S&M!!!
It IS already available in Hong Kong, in both DVD and VCD formats. I went there last month and LOTR, Harry Potter, Ice Age, etc were all available.
I know for a fact that I wont be able to avoid watching Attack of the Clones, even as I know that Ill be making MPAA/Lucas richer while watching a movie that will surely dissapoint me.
I CANT HELP IT... I AM A JUNKIE!!!

There is a global market for around 5-6 computers.
((hint, hint, someone at IBM said something along these lines a few years ago))

DimitryP, do you consider yourself a guitar virtuoso?
How many hours a day do you practice?
How many hours a day does Yo Yo Ma practice the cello? or Joe Satriany the guitar? or Paganini on his day?
I think jejones had a valid point...
Yeah, but what happens when the names on the machine for some Murphy-know-what reason match your customer's name?
It could get messy, possibly leading to losing the client.

Thats why some parts of it remind you of the allied point of view during that conflict

You missed the point, No app should be so rude by default.
Admirable, but sadly you are in the minority.
