    Maybe you should trying buying me a phone that does not require being powered off in order to be restarted in flight mode. (Which requires entering your PIN, if you' ve not disabled it). Every mobile phone I've ever owned has worked this way. Including my 2-months-old Samsung Galaxy.

    You... are not making any sense. My Droid Incredible has a widget
    with an airplane on it. Click it, all radios are killed, unclick it, all radios
    are back on.

    My lowly Huawei Ideos has the same feature, so it's most likely part of Android.

    Also, hold on the power button, and a menu pops up, asking if you want to turn it off, or just put it on airplane mode.

    Obama is not a socialist. A few hard-right Americans disagree with his policies, but most of the western world considers the Republicans hard right, and the Democrats very right. Only the USA still has a significant population who still believes that unfettered capitalism is the best policy. The recent melt down of the USA financial sector, directly caused by the deregulation of two Republican administrations shows that unfettered capitalism is often a disaster.

    I am a supervisor at a call center in Mexico City.

    It is not uncommon for americans to hang up if they find out the 1-800 number they are calling goes to Mexico. I imagine it is worse for India.

    I have no problems with Ubuntu 11.04 suspend or hibernate on my Acer Aspire One (similar specs to an EeePC)

    As a Mexican, I can say it is true that there are frictions between ethnic groups and geographical regions within the country.

    A lot is just stereotype and jokes, like Californians and Appalachians and New Yorkers, etc, might regard each other.

    But there is an undercurrent of racism in Mexico, which is not polite to admit in public (People say "this is a country that abolished castes and slavery during its independence war! Of course we are not racists!"), but is true nonetheless.

    We have those two here in Mexico for the $20 and $50 peso bills (the lowest paper denominations)

    They do not last a lot longer than the paper ones, they are more resistant when they are new, but if you get a tiny tear on it it will come apart in a second.
