Also, you can currently buy 3,000, 5,000, and 10,000 psi hydrogen tanks. Now all we need is a low cost or at least reasonably priced hydrogen fuel cell and then we could convert our own cars over to hydrogen electric. All I need is either a low cost platinum based hydrogen fuel cell or a non platinum based fuel cell. How many years have they been working on these for now? Maybe if all that Iraq war money would have been spent on fuel cell development instead...
"I'm sure I will catch some flack about increased cheating after the source release, but there are plenty of Q2 cheats already out there, so you are already in the position of having to trust the other players to a degree. The problem is really only solvable by relying on the community to police itself, because it is a fundamentally unwinnable technical battle to make a completely cheat proof game of this type. Play with your friends."
"we've got this big contract with the Korean government -- that's 120,000 seats -- and we've got a big bundling deal with Sharp, every Zaurus that moves, we're moving a copy of our product, and Sharp has big plans for the thing."
"Unfortunately, after doing a some testing and analyzing the results, it appears that SMP Quake3 under linux isn't running at 100%. And when I say that, I mean it doesn't run at all. After trying to enable it with a "r_smp 1" command and a restart, I noticed this error message in the console log: "Trying SMP acceleration... failed". Not good. So, off to Google Groups I go to see if anyone else has had any success. After browsing through what seemed like hundreds of message board posts and pages, we were not able to find anyone who had this working successfully If someone knows how to get this working, we'd love to hear about it!"
I emailed TTimo at id about it and here's what he had to say:
You were not able to turn on SMP in Quake III Arena linux.. simply because it is not available yet. Id has never released a linux binary of Quake III Arena with SMP support. That's why you get the "trying SMP acceleration.. failed" message.
We have in-house binaries though, and it's on the TODO list... "when it's done"
Nearly every major city already has a source for getting hydrogen. Liquid or gas. And they deliver.

Where are the Quake3 benchmarks!?
Mandrake is simple to install. It's when I have to upgrade the video card drivers so you can play some Quake3 or UT is when it's not so easy...
:)
What's the link to that page of instructions to update the video drivers?
Why can't I just replace the old files with newer ones to upgrade the drivers? Or have better install scripts that more automate the process.

Sounds like Microsoft...
Maybe they want to be the next MS?
Now all we need is 64 bit color!
Or how about some 40 or 48 bit color in the mean time?
The situation with Konqueror reminds me of Explorer being tied into Windows.
If this will run DNF, TF2, DOOM, Quake 4, Unreal 2, and Unreal Tournament 2 better then anything else, I will look into it.
But I'm not AOL's target market..
AOL's market is "the average user".

Someone posted it in this thread too http://www.quake3world.com/ubb/Forum15/HTML/000406 .html
Some info and details about it there too.
You can get it in #nvidia in irc.openprojects.net
Who will be the first to release a new distro based off this Kernel? Red Hat could sure use a new version...
So is the Quake3 Team Arena CD going to have win32/mac/linux files on it?

Will someone here port glDuke to Linux? http://vapps.emuforce.com/glduke/
