    And I will stick with my old Panasonic 24 Pin
    printer. I just re-ink the cartridge every
    once in while. I even have an older Citizen
    GSX 140. Columbus brought it over on the
    Santa Maria.

    I hate to be a complainer but if it is that accurate then would it not be more impacted by the strength of the local gravitational field? It the gravity
    is weaker in Fort Collins as compared to Fort Walton Beach and there was a clock in each then they would not keep in sync. With older less accurate clocks, perhaps it does not matter??? Maybe that would be a plus? Testing General Relativity? I don't know.

    My GPS can display my speed. If a GPS was built that ONLY displayed or output speed, then it would be a simple matter of integrating over time to get distance with the information about precisely where the car had been being left out. Of course internally, the GPS would have to know location, it just would not have to report it. Would they do that? I doubt it.

    So could renewable energy sources. Nuclear
    is another BIG thing. That's what the government
    wants. BIG things. Lets try a whole bunch of
    small things. Distributed diverse power sources.

    Much better for the economy - though possibly not
    good for Bush's friends. Much safer, much better
    environmentally.

    him that were good programmers. I've know
    programmers younger than him that were terrible

    Why do they have to come up with these stupid
    solutions. Storing Carbon underground. What
    is wrong with storing it in trees like they
    did in the old days. There are millions of
    acres of land that have been deforested by
    people that could be put to use doing this.

    Distributed power systems is what we need. Not
    big power systems. Distributed and varied. Not
    single kind. coal/nuclear. We need all kinds
    of power systems. Diversification of power sources.

    This is what industrial type people propose. Big,
    Large, Humongous. Why not many small? Why not
    try conservation too. How about intelligent wall
    warts that would automatically disconnect from the
    wall when they do not need the power? How about
    better lighting systems?

    They had pagers. Same thing. Vibrate,
    tone, even voice pagers. If you are an
    emergency responder on call, then you can
    not go to a movie if the movie theater
    has a jammer.

    Unless you want to talk about cost. If your software only runs on Solaris and your customers are balking on buying because of the high cost of Sun servers, you certainly want to investigate porting to linux.

    Having raised bees, I do not remember that but I would think the relative position of the field would be important, not the absolute position. In another words, the direction would not matter to the bees, just that it exists at all. I believe, however that
    bees use sight and memory mostly.

    I remember many years ago I used to have a 40 LB
    Schwinn bicycle that I used to ride a lot. I put
    toe clips on it but that was all. I used to ride
    with other riders who had 20 to 25 LB bicycles that
    were all Campy and expensive. I could keep up
    with them as I was a stronger rider. It is not all Tech.
    Tech might give you the edge if you are all equal but
    if you do not practice and ride a lot it is not worth it.
