    is NOT asking if anyone is capable. It is asking someone to DO it.
    its like saying: can someone please take out the garbage.
    and regardless making threats about people lives in public jokingly or otherwise is a definate no-no.
    people are prosecuted for saying much less potentially dangerous remarks. e.g. libel and defamtion of character neither of which are usually related with loss of life.

    well i guess its my fault for not understanding broken writing. that is what he meant but not exactly what he said. however, you said it correctly by keeping the whole thing in first person. the poster i replied to did not.

    jsut to correct your (minor) mistake, karst is not a type of rock, it is a type of topography used to refer to geological features made from (usually eroded) carbonate rock and include caves (including stalactites, stalagmites and other cave formations), aquiefers, dolines, sinkholes etc. Cockpit country in Jamaica is a good example of karst topography

    what most people fail to realise is that tail,cut,sort,uniq are most likely written in C so why reinvent the wheel? that is the only reason to use shell scripting (when there are existing tools) but surely good luck implementing your command from scratchpurely in bash. technically in C you can just write

    system("tail -n 100 /var/log/apache2/access_log | cut -f1 -d\" \" | sort | uniq");

    and achieve the same result in 1 line as well :P

    nope my bicycle keeps a salted SHA512 hash of the code and compares the hashes to unlock...because you know hashing is not encryption

    provide a self supporting roof with minimal additional structural support needed

    this basically means that the wings are designed to support their own weight while being attached to the plan on one side only.
    someone further up mentioned they would have to probably include extra "roof strap" type reinforcements in case of high winds but i think once it is sealed off properly no wind should be getting under the wings to produce any lift. However, IANAE (Engineer)

    did it occur to you that someone has to be (in) the minority?
    i didn't read the entire article nor do i have any insider info like you do but if you take any survey and the report on the findings of said survey does not describe you then obviously you were not what the survey found to be the trend that emerged from the sample group.

    or it just means that infinity also surpasses the bounds of mathematics. it reaches a point where the laws of mathematics hit a boundary and "round up".
    It will be interesting if 50 years from now some mathmetician comes and proves this theory. you heard it first here on /. 2010

    not like they had much of a choice IMO. Either lose reconition which can be fixed with some marketing or lose quality through stagnation which is much harder to fix.
    If only they came up with a better name.
