ah refreshing the only intelligent post i've read yet. I develop very sophisticated UI's in mozilla every day and have pushed the limits of it's UI capabilities. I think they are on the right track and can't wait to see what they support for next. Yes SVG would be my vote for the next supported UI element.
oh yeah and support for CSS, HTML 4.0, XHTML, DHTML... ect... your an idot browsers clickey buttons and menus are not the advance in browser tecnology the only thing that a browser should be measured against is the browsers ability to support the standard... such as those listed above... get a clue
no stupid cross platform and the same goes for the post below this. I use IE components every day and love some of the features but the framework that IE runs in is fucking shit period end of story. And if you want to argue over this I have 7 years interface development using IE and I still have found no continuity.
The more people and orginizations that support the Apache Software fundation and it's children ie( jakarata(tomcat, catalina, ant, ect...)) the better the software will get it's already proven to work. Does anybody dispute the dominance and reliability of the Apache web server? Well then why would the same org changes it's standards for it's servlet engine and other projects? That's right all software from the Apache Software Foundation kicks ass and always will. As an org they have always provided plenty of information to use thier software in production unlike other OSS projects (no mentions out of respect). It's about fucking time that so called technology executives start to recognize good OSS projects and org's.
PS: my entire company rides on the back of the kick ass developers @ apache... JAM ON Apache / Jakarta
"Considering most tele-marketers use auto-dialers, would it be so hard to grab the definitive list of area-code/extensions that are exclusively used for cellular phones and just apply that to their dial-out lists?"
Actually they are required by law to add the NPA NXX that is handed out to cell providers. These are resricted number blocks just like the NPA 976 is restricted. So yeah it probably was a fluke.

It may seem like an asset to be good at a lot of different IT tasks but the fact remains that you are probably applying for a specific job try focusing your efforts into one area of your knowledge. Also you have to remember there is a top of competition out thier. I am trying to hire a web developer and I am getting resumes from ex CTO's of start up's asking for less money than I make. So don't be discouraged by the lack of response it's not just happening to those getting out of college. oh yeah also remember that employers that hire people because they have certain certifications have no clue what they need from an employee that's why they are asking for the cert:)
London has been using facial recognition in thier city wide survelance system for the last 3 years. The real question is how does this software determine the difference between a running message courier and a fleeing criminal? I want an architecture document.:)
I have no problem paying for the ammount of data that I send however I am not going to pay for that data and f**king wait for it. If I'm paying for the bits I send I want the pipe to be huge. At least ds3 to the curb bitches.:) we can dream right
Now all it needs is a cell phone in it.

Like figure out out to mine the shit out of the asteroid belt. Don't you know why they (the governement / corporations) keep putting money into space living it's not to go to mars it's to create a new industry mining the shit out of space. As soon as nasa told somebody that with new telescopes they could diffuse enough light from telescopes they could tell the compisition of asteriods and that one of them may be made of pure gold thats when astronomy and space exploration started to get more money. Keep doing stuff like that and you'll get the right people to care ie(the ones with money). going to mars as no atraction to econimists.
if you don't like a service don't use it. If you read the legal agreement to the service and don't like it... wait you know whats coming... don't use the service.
Just another call answered by the ignorance police.
Didn't I already see a movie about this. Yes I did and the movie was bad.
The problem I have found is that geeks, while having a common ground, can also have vastly differnent political and personal agendas in life.
i think they are refering to a "reference" as a link not the word "slashdot" being in an artical.
