    "While you wait" implies an hour or two at most. A couple nights' stay at a nearby motel is hardly the same thing. But as you say, it sure beats a fly home/back to get back on the road.

    Some of the absolute best coffee I've ever had was a medium roast pure Colombian bag of beans my Dad brought back from there. I ground them normally, and used my 4 cup coffee maker with a paper filter as I usually did. Great flavour, strong but smooth. Really excellent stuff!

    The past few years I switched to espresso at home, and mostly I've found the more expensive the coffee, the more bitter it is. I stick to Medaglia d'Oro, and its great as-is.

    I remember a friend and I bought the full version of Doom at a shareware vending machine at a local mall. We brought our own floppies and a two rolls of loonies to pay for it. Then spent the rest of the day taking turns playing on his 486. Good times! :D

    That is to say, open standards are the default on modular personal computers, and almost invariably not present on video game consoles. By giving people who want flexibility a means to use consoles, do you see yourself as inflating those markets and doing long-term harm to actual open systems?

    Word salad. He puts consoles into new boxes. How on earth does this do *anything* to the PC marketplace? Let alone "long-term harm" ?

    They just need a directional antenna. I have line of sight to the CN Tower, so the Canadian channels come in fine. Buffalo's at least 90 degrees out from there where I am. Use the mapping tool on http://www.tvfool.com/ to see what you need.

    I use the exact same 'rabbit-ears' for digital that I used for analog, the frequency range in US & Canada is identical. What's mainly happened is the need for a more directional antenna to pick up the US stations, for where I am anyway.

    However in the last few years our state has had a conservative government that has systematically tried to defund the hospital. The end result is that waiting times have blown out to be multiple hours for non trauma cases in the emergency ward, and doctors are increasingly overworked and stressed out.

    That's a typical Tory/neo-conservative power play: defund the public option, then in a few years gripe how terrible the public option is, and how great the private is!

    Because there is very little content for it.

    And there's no point in such a high resolution standard for the home user at this point anyway.

    On top of that, the very name of the standard is misleading, which puts me against it regardless.
    1080p = 1920x1080 pixels. Easy to understand.
    4K = 3840×2160 pixels. Why not just call it 2160p so we have something easy to compare to?

    I don't understand why people keep assuming Bitcoin is designed to be anonymous. It isn't.

    Because all the loudest BTC backers constantly repeat this mantra: anonymous, no service fees, no chargebacks. Repeat a lie often enough and it starts to sound like the truth.
