"Real flying is exemplified by Capt. Chesley Sullenberger, says Casey, who famously landed his US Airways plane without engines on the Hudson River and saved all the passengers in what came to be known as the 'Miracle on the Hudson.' "
Yeah, and how many times a year is that needed? JFC.
Not for YOU. But it sure helps decrypt everyone else's password once you can analyze a know good value. Which is exactly what happened with Adobe's database.
Are you blaming the users now? In any normal distribution of users, there will be some with good password policies, and some who don't have good password policies.
However, the company is entrusted with the password, and need to maintain good stewardship of it.
This is not good stewardship no matter how much you are trying to shift the blame to the users.
People were putting their actual passwords in the "Password Hint" field. I can certainly blame a user for doing that, as well as the developers for allowing it.
I'm moving lots of stuff off my Gmail account bit by bit. Clearing out Calendar first, then moving accounts that I've signed up with GMail over to other accounts. With smartphones & data plans, plus hosting having webmail, I don't find too much need for routing lots of stuff through Gmail anymore.
It's still useful as hell, but I'm relying on it less and less.
On a related note, they should share with Google a Nobel Peace Prize for the countless nasty arguments settled by a simple search.
There were search engines long before Google came along. Why should Google get any glory? Besides, their results have gotten demonstrably worse over the last few years. I did a search for something recently and 2 of the 10 results on the 1st page didn't even have the keywords bolded in the text presented.
I also find these new phones with the fixed batteries and no off switch a bit irritating. I've heard rumors that if you shop around you can find some phones that can be turned off. If all else fails, put it in the microwave. Blocks the signal nicely. You owe me a six pack for all the vacation money I just saved you.
And which magical "no off switch" devices are these?
The US spent the 80s arming Saddam for his war with Iran, and he borrowed money from Kuwait to finance his war. When it was over, Kuwait refused to discharge the debt. They also refused to raise prices and cut oil supply, both of which would have helped Iraq pay off its war debt. Saddam bitched the US, and the US said "deal with it yourself," after spending over a decade and a half helping him out. Saddam felt betrayed by the US, and invaded Kuwait to show them a thing or two about his ability to wage a war. The US has had a history going back decades of getting involved with Middle Eastern politics, and its bit them in the ass on more than a few occasions. Shah of Iran, anyone?

There is no way I'm putting an Xbox One in my bedroom.
Don't worry; it's so huge, you won't be able to fit it in there anyway.
Yes! Let's watch him do to Microsoft what he did to Nokia!
Go in as a mole do ensure that it got taken over by Microsoft? Recursive takeover!

Hey! Stop all the downloading!
Somewhere behind all this is some whack-job parent's bitching.
Yeah, because your old PS2 and 3 suddenly stop working with the 4 comes out.
And used PS3s simply disappear off the face of the earth!
Let's see if we can't nip these in the bud.
Eh, it's their own fault for writing their encryption in Flash!

Damm, I remember when Pizza Pizza had one of the first online food ordering systems in Canada, and it required Windows, Netscape, AND Java!
FAP free? no pr0n, then
It is easy! The users and their business models are simply all wrong LOL
I don't care how many tweets this guy's posted about, it doesn't pass the sniff test IMO.

Mine just says "Formosa." Isn't that a cheese?
LOL, Mises. Might as well just say a mythical wizard did it.
Paul Thurrot. OK, guess I'll ignore that drivel.
Dude, you are complicating Beer Hunter waaay to much :)
Golly, maybe because they're used for different things?
