    dont ask how i know. 8.0 full will, ahem probably, have IE as default, but there is a version using gecko. The higher ups obviously went back and forth over this for a long time, and after 8.0, no more IE (if there is a God/insert favorite worship item here). They weren't sure about mozilla/netscape adoption rate and compatibility with microshafted websites. Here comes the open source train.

    any halfassed generic dos emulator should run ZZT!

    I used to play ZZT! on my 286 12mhz and it was super fast. Even made a 'Doom' port of it a few years later when doom came out. Strange are the ways of teenagers with nothing to do.

    Companies have no CHOICE but to support free speech if they are in the United States. You don't get to pick and choose when and if the first amendment applies, it always applies.

    idiots who refuse to rtfm and want it all spoon fed to them are the biggest weakness of Linux. Its a free and open system, do your part and don't leach off others without putting forth at least a little effort. THAT is what I see happen all day long. I am on the 'i need help' side of that equation myself, and its very tempting to be lazy about it and ask someone instead of hunkering down and looking for it.

    Its the same justification that so many use for piracy. If you use free wireless, you haven't payed for the bandwidth, thus the cable/dsl/etc provider proclaims it has lost a subscriber and it equals a loss. Now do you see why anti-piracy is a farce used to essentially force commercial software onto your computers and money out of your pockets?

    Plenty of money and the right lobbyists/lawyeres and you can do whatever you want anyway. Too bad all the rich geeks were too busy buying electronic toys and investing in shady/useless businesses.
