What is wrong with greed? That is what common sense is there for.
Companies have no CHOICE but to support free speech if they are in the United States. You don't get to pick and choose when and if the first amendment applies, it always applies.
Isn't a rainbow across the world part of certain prophesies of the end of the world? As if there weren't enough problems in the world coinciding with all the nostrodamus voodoo (war in Israel, missle defense, armies of mercenaries, etc), lets name this project rainbow. Conspiracy theorists unite.
idiots who refuse to rtfm and want it all spoon fed to them are the biggest weakness of Linux. Its a free and open system, do your part and don't leach off others without putting forth at least a little effort. THAT is what I see happen all day long. I am on the 'i need help' side of that equation myself, and its very tempting to be lazy about it and ask someone instead of hunkering down and looking for it.

If you use free wireless, you haven't payed for the bandwidth, thus the cable/dsl/etc provider proclaims it has lost a subscriber and it equals a loss. Now do you see why anti-piracy is a farce used to essentially force commercial software onto your computers and money out of your pockets?
Plenty of money and the right lobbyists/lawyeres and you can do whatever you want anyway. Too bad all the rich geeks were too busy buying electronic toys and investing in shady/useless businesses.
The Archos Jukebox has been doing this longer than any I've found. I've been eyeing these wonderful toys from their initial press releases and I must say they are what iPod aimed to be (and succeded). If only they had a harder marketing push...
