The only solution to have privacy is to do nothing on the internet or transact business of any sort.

That's impossible now. In order to get a job you have to apply on the internet - many times with third party companies that have their own multi-page legalese filled "Terms of Service" that has the "we reserve the right to change these terms at anytime" bullshit clause.

My credit union uses a third party for many of their back office and web services.

Many companies spread your personal information all over the World without your consent - the credit bureaus, insurance companies, banks, and just about any firm that handles your most private data. They share data with credit bureaus, other companies that collect data, Governments, etc...

Aside from living under a rock, living "off the grid" and doing business with no one, there's no way for the consumer to control their personal information - none.

I have been doing my best and yet, just googling myself, it sickens me how much personal information is out there - current information.

Having used all three myself, I disagree. Visual Studio was the best out of all 3, although, NetBeans is really coming along but still has performance issues: its UI isn't as snappy as VS. Eclipse I found to be horribly slow coming up, unresponsive half the time, the UI is unintuitive, plugins are flaky as all hell, and making file changes in projects are just a nightmare - their handling of projects is not flexible at all.

I agree up to a point. OTH, if this leads to an "Iron Man" type of suit, then I'm all for it. Wars are now going to be urban fights mixed in with civilians - aircraft, missiles, and even drones are too blunt of an instrument for handling these types of battles.

What I'm saying is more money should be spent on things like this instead of Cold War era type of weapons - i.e. F-22.

We have limited resources and we need to be smart about our spending.

Kids - be ruthless in building your skills laundry list because employers want you to have it all and you're competing with people from all over the World who'll work for much less than you will. Also, make sure you're in management by 35 or you'll be working at Starbucks - if you're lucky.

You start thinking twice about being a billionaire and I didn't get the impression that this guy was a narcissist - I'm not saying that the folks you mentioned are not, but all billionaires are not and I think many would prefer to be anonymous if they could. I know I would but it's impossible with that much money. There was a billionaire by the name of Danial K. Ludwig (shipping) that was a recluse but folks knew who he was.

Right, because this is clearly a security flaw you'll only find in Apple products.

The GP means is that Apple implied that their platform was more secure and the fanboys loved to point out that they were secure whenever a vulnerability was found in Windows - granted that was more MS hatred than anything.

The GP was only shoving it in everyone's faces that Apple products are not as secure as everyone believes. Of course, us old timers remember all the viruses that were spread disk to disk back in the 80s on the original Macs - so we've never believed the hype about the "safety" of Apple products.
