  1. Rename it! on Test Pilot: the F-35 Can't Dogfight · · Score: 1

Strike the JSF and call it the JSB, "Joint Strike Bomber" that kind kinda sorta maneuvers. Weight: 20,000 lbs for the F-16 and ~23,000 lbs for the F-35 Engine thrust (dry): F-16 29,500 lbs F-35 25,000 lbs So, the F-35 weighs more and has less thrust than a F-16. My math said whatdaya expect.

  2. Re:Dogfights?! What year is it?! on Test Pilot: the F-35 Can't Dogfight · · Score: 1

Exactly . Assuming we won't need ACM (dogfights) is the same exact mistake we made with the F-4 Phantom. From the simple fact that you might need to pop flares and get away from a missile to the fact that ACM will be needed if a enemy sneaks up on you. And turn rate is a chief parameter of winning a turning battle. The only way this pilot found to defeat the F-16 was a high yaw rate maneuver that dumped the planes energy (VERY risky idea). This JSF is what happens when all the cooks in the city try to make soup: it tastes horrid.

I hope your bottom line does not depend on American sales of your product. Your line of reasoning is that Americans are too expensive to employ and thus do not deserve a job. Once you left with only foreign workers who will buy your product? American's wont be able to afford it.

Maybe you should look at WHY your employment costs are going up. Hint: look at the rent for a 2BR apartment around where your company is. If it's anywhere near SJ CA, I bet you'll be shocked at what you see: $2100 to $3000.00. There's the real reason: the cost of living keeps gong up. Another word for it is greed.

Now consumers are becoming aware that there's a massive counterfeiting problem and can be better educated to ask their vendors "Hey, is my device legit?" I certainly had no idea that this was going on.

How in the hell is the consumer supposed to know that the USB chip in a device is not legally using the FTDI PID? That is the biggest load of crap I've heard. The is NO F'ING WAY the consumer can possibly know that the USB PID is wrong and that's assuming you can copyright a number which btw you can't.

FTDI READ THIS : It is against the law in the USA to intentionally damage private property. You may also be in trouble under the many computer crimes acts we have here. You have no claims to the PID as it is a number and cannot be copyrighted. You do have the right to sue in a court of law to enforce your copyrights but do not have the right to damage private property.

MICROSOFT READ THIS: You are probably subject to culpable liable for any damage as you knew the intent for the damage was called out in FTDI EULA and distributed FTDI's product anyway.

    Enjoy the lawsuits and fines.
