I hate Microsoft, would never use Windows etc, but out of the *thousands* of Linux machines I have installed, I have seen many things broken out of the box. Everything from RHEL to Slackware... never works on 100% of hardware, and especially if you encounter bleeding edge platforms...

The fact is Linux users have had the worst Flash experience since Linux on the desktop existed. The fact that OSX flash sucks too (tho is slightly better than Linux flash) is coincidental. Flash is hardly open since many parts of the standard aren't documented. Seriously fuck Apple all you want, but don't fuck them for hating on Adobe. I say this as a lover of Photoshop too.

I'm not sure you understand what drop means. It doesn't imply a reason, it simply says they were... dropped from the release. Design decision, lack of time, lack of interest, lack of voodoo magic, it doesn't matter. Dropped is dropped.
Though if people care enough for their ill maintained features, they are certainly more than welcome to commit code to KDE!

Pathetic. Your computer science background doesn't give you the ability to learn things quickly? Thats what I learned in computer science, the ability to problem solve and learn quickly.
As a result of using PHP, they have an awful server/visitor ratio, far worse than what most large scale webapps accomplish using alternate languages. And on top of this, their 'PHP' isn't really what most people consider PHP, compiled to C++, etc.
