I have one of those shirts, but oddly enough everytime i wear it, I actually get more requests from people to fix their computer problems..
I've had waitress's ask me computer questions while I was waiting for food to arrive because of that shirt. All it does is tip people off that you know about computers.
A. NetStumbler is a Windows tool that allows you to discover 802.11b (and 802.11a, if using Windows XP) wireless LANs. It includes GPS integration and a simple, intuitive user interface. Though primarily targeted at owners of wireless LANs, it has been the de facto tool for casual users such as "war drivers" since 2001.
NetStumbler 0.3 won the eWeek / PC Magazine i3 award for Innovation In Infrastructure, 2002.
There was, and still may, be a law that exempted some groups of workers from overtime pay. IT was, and may still be, in that group.
IT in general wasn't in that group, very specific subsets of IT employees are in that group. Many employers would love to have you believe that every IT job is in that group, but that is simply not the case.

I've got one of those.. you can get them from microsoft for free sometimes. You can also sign up to get them on a regular basis for a small fee as well.
My guess is that will only happend after someone will insert a major virus/ddos software under "protection" of EULA and then sue Anti-Virus companies to prevent them to adding the virus to their definitions.
That's the reason AV copies refuse to remove spyware now. There is no reason you should have to pay for norton av and then turn around a use adaware to remove spyware trojans. Most average computer users don't realize that norton doesn't protect them from this crap until they get bit in the ass by it and have to pay to have their pc reinstalled.
You probably believe permanently integrated cables are a bad thing, but I've never had the socket's solder joints break on a monitor which has none. If you're in the habit of smashing your monitor directly up against a wall, integrated cables are a GOOD thing.
I disagree, I've had integrated cables go bad, because the end that connects to the pc gets pushed up against the wall.. It would be trivial to screw a new cord to the monitor if the damn thing was integrated.
Another interesting difference between VAT in the EU and sales tax in the US is that in the former, the VAT is included in the prices you see in shops. I've never really understood why Americans prefer to do all that mental arithmetic...
We don't prefer to do the arithmetic, retailer's prefer us to not think about the entire price so that things seem cheaper and we spend more $. There is no law that says they have to figure up the tax at the end. At flea markets and such tax is often include in the price we see.. or they just don't collect it.

Novell could basically do that. I don't they the rights that SCO got from Novell are exclusive, so there isn't really anything keeping Novell from open sourcing everything they have rights to.. That wouldn't leave SCO with much of anything.
Before you start whining that "it wont work in my browser," remember, there are several solution where the stylesheet is applied server side, and the page can be servered as plain old html.
That's what they'd be doing with.css anyway. Sending the browser a plain old.css file and converting the doc book format they use to html and sending that to the browser.

I'd never really seen it before trying out the freesbie freebsd livecd. XFce combined with rox-filer for the desktop icons is a pretty slick combination.

From the reviews I've currently read all distros seem pretty much the same
That's because they are. Really there are only about 3 types of distros: those like redhat, those like debian, and those like gentoo.

I find it interesting that it isn't opensource.
Hmmmm... maybe I should consider building a Line In for my car cassette deck, so I can hook my portable MP3 player directly into it.
Mini jack to tape adapters only cost about $3 for a cheap one.
Your point is still valid, after taxes that's not a whole lot of money on which to live.
I agree, that's prety close to what I make, and it's definately not easy to live on that.
