    No, but they do seem to install a bunch of startmenu icons from several of their apps even when you only install one of them. Icons that don't go away when you run the uninstaller.

    It can be but isn't always.

    Regardless, unplugging the data cable doesn't guarantee a coastered harddrive like the original parent is implying. It might coaster a drive to pull the data cable, but I've witnesses several instances where it hasn't.

    I don't understand why someone can't come out with a counterfeit ipod that works well.. I've seen ones that look like ipods, but only contain 512 megs or something.

    I'd buy a decent quality knockoff ipod if it worked like an actual ipod and had comparable features, but who wants a 512 memory stick that just looks like an ipod?

    If security had been a concern earlier in the history of the internet, we wouldn't have any problem with spam now. Getting rid of spam would have been trivial had it been anticipated back when the internet was just a few acedemic institutions connected up.

    You may have a different definition for PC than most people, but almost every personal computer by the late 80's didn't come with a modem. I remember buying PCs in the early 90's where a modem was an additional cost if it was even offered at all.

    What default catalog are you referring to? Do you mean the sample pictures? Of course the sample pictures would be stored in a folder thats available to everyone, otherwise you'd have many copies of the same files all over the place. If someone is going to use one of the sample files for a project, the resulting file would be saved in their my documents, but there is no reason for everyone to have their own copy of the sample files.

    If by catalog you mean something other than the sample photos, I apologize. No version of photoshop that I've ever used has stored anything under All Users.

    I'm pretty sure that using lossey encoding would be a bad thing for storing the human genome.

    I don't really get the point of podcast novels, I'd really rather just download txt and read it.
    I can read text at work, I can't really listen to podcasts at work.

    Podcast novels without text are like book on tapes without the original book being available.

    Assuming a windows environment you would use offline files, that's normally how people sync with network drives.

    Don't most stem cells used for research come from cord blood that would normally be discarded after birth anyway?

    Tests aren't ever 100% accurate and aids tests have a known percentage of false positives.. generally if you test positive for hiv they have several other tests afterwards to confirm the diagnosis.
