Because we all know what happens when you just give a wad of cash to a drug addict or compulsive gambler and tell them "Do whatever you want with it"...
Except they would be anti-competitors instead. A competitor would work hard to beat you in a foot race while a anti-competitor would break your leg before the race.
Sadly, the biggest announcement for most people was "Farmville on iPhone". Second place being "iPhone available in white!". Every other feature Apple announced has already been done by someone else.
The solution is so simple. Make a good game and sell it at a fair price and people will buy it in droves. They need to stop protecting hypothetical unit sales at inflated prices.
It makes me wonder if Google purposely released a vague and poorly written specification for VP8 just to make it hard on MPEG-LA to search through for any patent violations.
When you type in a URL directly to the address bar do you input "http://www.slashdot.org" or "www.slashdot.org"?
Personally I think it's fine to leave out http and only display the protocol if it is different like https, ftp, etc...
Of course I have updated to the latest version of Chrome and STILL see the http in the address bar so I don't even know what the fuss is all about.
SERO is old employee referral plan which is no longer available for new sign ups and restricted from using any Android or WebOS phones. The new employee referral plan called EPRP which is about 2x the cost of SERO (still cheaper than any other plan out there) has no phone restrictions.
This is what happens when you let a bunch of random self absorbed schmucks think what they are doing is actually important to the world.
While I'll use wikipedia as a starting reference point but lets face it, if you use Wikipedia as any sort of authoritative reference, you're an idiot. I say this because every person I know that uses wikipedia as a reference is in fact an idiot.[citation needed]
Apple created a artificial restriction to make cross platform development harder. Sure cross platform development has never been easy due to real technical reasons but Apple didn't have to go and make it more difficult.
I'm not sure what assimilating a chair is but I sure hope it's not the same as what these kids are doing to this ottoman. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEk2qMKysf4

The first movie was great. The second movie was horrible. They just took a bunch of fight scenes and stitched them together.

Just updated and http:/// still shows up for me on Windows 7 x64.

were protected from the confusion of too much choice in applications
Yeah, because the 50,000 or so on the App Store last I checked is a terribly small number and indicates a horrible lack of choice ::Eyeroll::
Whether its 5 apps or 50,000 apps, Apple is still the one that decides which ones you can install.
Perception is reality

What I want to know is have they implemented forward slash '/' for search?!?!?
