  1. The freaking SS? Really? on Apple Store Artist Raided By Secret Service · · Score: 1

Seems excessive. Why not simply write the guy a ticket for some petty misdemeanor, and uninstall his software? Does the SS really not have anything better to do than go after this guy?

Just because legalization isn't a panacea, i.e. a perfect solution, doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. E.g., I oppose Human Trafficking (a.k.a. Slavery), too, but would still support drug legalization, even if some cartels switch from drug smuggling to slave running. The latter would require different solutions, anyway.

I love the picture quality of BR, and hate the look of Standard Def on my HDTV. To me, the difference between DVD and BR is obvious, and worth (some) extra cost. People that think BR is too expensive imho either haven't seen a good BR film on a decent HDTV or (more likely) don't care as they are content with whatever they have.

Not an iPhone, but when my iMac G5 died a few years ago, after they'd been EOL'ed but before my Applecare had expired, Apple replaced it with an Intel iMac. This wasn't the first option, i.e. they tried swapping the mobo, etc., but replacement + upgrades do happen.

No idea about streaming availability outside the UK though.

BBC in general is missing out on non-UK revenue by trying (in vain) to limit consumption to UK tax-paying folks only. Outside the UK they could charge fees/subscriptions, and enjoy additional revenue from people like me that like their content but live in, say, the USA. The current situation is lame. (End of rant.)

Why? Because this is the version I saw and loved in '82. This is the version that became the cult video hit during the '80s. People complain about trivia like voiceovers, but if it weren't for the popularity of the original version, flaws and all, there would have been no Director's Cut(s), no talk of anniversary re-releases, etc. The original, un-fussed-with theatrical release is the only version that matters, IMHO.
