Yeah, next we should try a three-day week. Then imagine how much better a two-day week will be! When we get to zero, the work-life balance will be perfect!

Well actually, around here people like police, firefighters, certain public works employees work something like 3 on/3 off, 4 on/4 off with 12 hour shifts. Yes, when you are working you are working and not much else, but in the end, when you include vacation, stat holidays, etc, you have significantly more days off in the year than you have work days.

I'm sure it is not for everyone, but all the people I know who do this love it.

  6. Televising it wouldn't be allowed.

So we know he can't video record the NFL game (even from a crane) and put it on the internet, that would clearly be copyright infringement. He can however take still images of the game, that would apparently be fair use - of somebody elses copyrighted material (the NFL). A picture for personal use would be no big deal, people take pictures at sports events all the time. A picture for commercial use seems to stretch that a bit far though. It's not transformative in any way - how does it become his copyright and not the NFLs?

They also had a target that looked to be something like foam and plywood (while refusing to disclose their testing methodology, and doing it in front of the press), with no evidence of radar reflectors. The most critical component of an AEB system is how well it distinguishes real targets from fake ones and avoids false positives. In short, if you're going to slam on your brakes in high speed in traffic because you think there's a car stopped ahead of you, there better actually be a car there

Whereas if it is a person, or a moose, obviously you would not want to stop. Because real targets have radar signatures and fake targets don't.......

You can also be sure Kim is quite aware of what happened to the deal with Iran and consequently what America's word on anything is actually worth.

Most all of America's allies and trading partners have recently seen first hand just how unstable Trump is. It is funny watching Iran saying to them, to paraphase, "See? It could be. It is not because the prevailing attitude among the majority is to drag everyone else down rather than to build everyone else up.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm 53 and recently retired after a 30 year career as a network specialist for a large public sector employer. I have a good pension, and not only that, I have a well managed pension. It is fully funded and consistently makes large returns on investments so there is no risk to the taxpayers, and being part of government there is no risk of the company folding and pensions being looted by corporate douchebags.

While this was not an uncommon thing at one time, it is rapidly becoming less and less so. Public sector pensions are under constant attack, and private sector pensions - well you are lucky just to have one these days. I guess in the end society will get what it deserves. Cutting them off is the proper response.

Once Europe is cut off from Youtube, the electorate will go WTF? and hopefully elect governments who fix the laws to nullify these court rulings so they can have Youtube back.
