Why not vote for a third party? I am an aussie and we have the same 2 party system here. And really its the same as the US. THere really isn't much difference by the big 2 who are just corporate whores anyway. As u always voted republican why not vote for a right leaning independent or minor party. Personally I lean to the left but I wouldn't vote democrat (or labour in oz). We need to move away from the 2 party system.

  9. Makes you think on American Science: Addicted to Pentagon Cash? · · Score: 1

First up I am a pacifist and hate all types of war but realise that sometimes its envitable. We have come to a point where war is becoming safer (so to speak) I watched Thin Red Line last night and realised we will probably never see a war like that again. WE no longer need thousands of men to storm an island. We can use smart missiles to take out certain things and destroy the military. As much as I objected to the invasion of Iraq, less civilians died this time than the first time (i think). It is definately getting better for our soldiers. I read today that 4 US soldiers were killed. In WW2 it would have been 4000 killed. So i think its a double edged sword. Hoepfully in the future we can get to a point where we can ( to use military jargon) decapitate the enemy without civilian deaths.

Can anyone here say that they would have gone and done this at 14 or 16. I played violent games back then. People like this should be locked away for life for stupidity. What the hell did they think was going to happen if they shot at cars. The people they should be sueing are the parents who let their kids get their hands on guns. First they blame tv, now games. Parents should need a license to raise children.

I don't know about the US but in Oz and the UK GTA is rated 18+ so they can't really blame the game as they shuldn't have been playing it in the first place.

THe moon is a pretty dead, sterile place but mars has a possibility. I mean if there is life it would probably be of the microscopic bacteria/single celled organism type.
