    If they had used a browser that was less proprietary, and more standard; there would not be this problem.

    Of course you can type and create documents on most tablets a standard KB. Frustrated by *not* having ms-office? That'll be the day.

    Difference is: Apple's patents are pure bullshit, and Apple only sues over their bullshit patents because Apple is scamming the system.

    Not *all* patent lawsuits are scams. Some patents are entirely legitimate. Apple is the master of junk patents, and scam lawsuits.

    Nobody considers doctors, lawyers, scientists, accountants, or engineers, over the hill at 40. Why is software development considered different?

    Can surgeons learn new procedures after they are 40 years old? Can lawyers learn a new law?

    I suspect that employers know that software developers can be productive when they are over 40 years old. But, maybe EA would have more trouble working those developers for 110 hours a week?

    I have ran Linux as my primary desktop for over ten years, never run an anti-virus, never got infected.

    Are you forgetting how radically different Win8 is from previous versions of windows? And, unlike iTunes or other proprietary garbage, there is no 79 page license you have to sign for Linux. As to migration costs, much of your old software will not run on Win8.

    I am not. I realize there are difficulties in switching from one environment to another. But sometimes it's worth it.
