Now, for the first clause to be true, we have to assume that Windoze sucks. It does. So number one is true. The second clause is true because they are most likely MCSE certified.

Now all they need is a Moron processor for their machines. (For the paranoid, the URL is http://bbspot.com/News/2000/5/amd_moron.html) After all, a Moron and Windoze 2000 is a perfect combo.

  18. About #2 on Bionic Human: 1st Fully Implanted Human Heart · · Score: 1
Coumadin is both a boon and a bane. I know -- I have an aortic mechanical heart valve. But considering a pig's valve plus the anti-rejection pills and how easy it is to screw yourself over with this, the Coumadin's over-instability is a better choice.

The problem with Coumadin is simple: It's the only thing out there that works, but is grossly unstable. The pill is frustrating to be on, as one day you don't show bruising, and the next day you're a hemophilliac! With that in mind, your doctor's visits are longer when you have to get another pill because you need an army of pharmacists to pick out a pill that won't intefere (rare) with coumadin. Even caffeine can react with Coumadin, and alchohol is a blood thinner, too; so much for having more than 2 drinks.

Otherwise it's kinda cool being able to have a 22mm valve in ya... but most of the time you don't even notice it.

  20. Squaresoft is too important... on Squaresoft To Go Multiplatform · · Score: 1
What I have seen over the years is that the most popular console system is where Squaresoft develops for. Sure, Sega was giving Nintendo a run for its money back in the SNES/Genesis days, but the SNES was more wanted. Why? Simple -- Squaresoft was exclusively developing for Nintendo. Then obviously Square jumped ship, blah, blah, and Square went to Sony! Sony then became the most popular.

Square makes the most ass-kicking games out there. It is a total rarity that their games suck. This is why Square is important; everyone knows that Square games are good. Now, I'm going to go play on my PS2, with FFIX... then maybe turn on the SNES for FFIV (FF2 US).

OK, lemme get this straight! There is a NetBSD port to a chip that only exists in a SIMULATOR!? OK, this could be bad, for these reasons:

    1) It's a simulator. We can't really assume 100% correspondance to the actual pysical archatecutre. (ie, "bug-for-bug", etc.) Do we know if there are any -flaws- in the software?

    2) The archatecture in a simmulator NOW may not be the end product. What if some things happen to change? After all we can't say that it'll use DDR or have the same specs in the end.

OTOH it's good for these reasons:

    1) It's the first there, and gives the BSD crowd a jump on making clean 64-bit code for when the CPU is released.

    2) Now they may get others to follow suit...

    So that's my $0.02 USD.
