I was 100% sure after I found out that sony pointed the gun at their feet, and gave consumers the bullet when they provided the tool to convert movies to watch them off the memory stick. Hmm.. Free vs cha-ching? Then there's the battery power issue. Flash memory takes a fraction of the power that a spinning motor does.

It's still a cool machine. I'd buy one if they opened it up for indie development (I can't develop, but I'd pay for original games). I'd even consider it for multiplayer if the thing would charge (or even just run off the A/C adaptor) with bluetooth enabled.

I can't link to other articles he wrote because I'm at work, but you should be able to link to his other stories. Generally he tries to use big words to bash Nintendo and doesn't EVER do real research. And judging by his usual comments, despite what he says, he hasn't likely even seen a Gamecube do it's thing.

The romances were always kind of stange, though. The one with Jahiera was just wrong. Her husband died not 4 days before she starts macking on you (I know the patch fixed this, but still...). Aerie is too annoying to complete because she's got a consitent mindset of a 14 year old. Never got around to doing the one with the drow. I think the best part about BGII was the Infiniti Engine's, well, infinite ability for mods. There's a whole community devoted to modding it. So, now, there isn't any lack for content. I would, however, love another iteration. Good work Bioware!

I know that some bullets are designed to have smaller arcs, or some initially rise when they spin (as I'm told...), but they do drop to the ground. I've played a couple FPS single player games where you had to compensate for distance (Deus Ex), but no multiplayers.

This sort of thing would make it a bit harder for the people playing Halo2 who seem to be able to snipe people while dodging tanks and jeeps. I know they'd eventually be able to compensate, but it would take the player just another second to figure it out. Perhaps windcurrents would make a difference eventually (probably negligable in most situations, but it would be interesting).

The game's graphics look grainy (and I've played it on normal and Hi-Def TVs). There was too much junk everywhere. A lot of people considered it to have great graphics, but, to me, it seemed like they were doing too much with what little they had (performence vs. image quality). You could see where they cut corners too easily. The massive gloves, for instance. It keeps them from having to use polygons on the charecter's hands (Just a big cylinder for the gloves, really). It also looked like all bump-mapping used the same image. Most of the backgrounds didn't need bump-mapping because of how many textures they used.

So when I say much better graphics, I mean it could really utilize the 360's abilities. I don't mean that it could have had much better graphics on the XBox. The team that did the original was very talented, it shows.

The only thing I didn't like about the game was how quickly you could go shift sides from bad to good or good to bad. I wasn't too fond of running around with white armor and having every single adult propose marraige just because my attractiveness attribute was too high.

Seriously, it was a pretty good game that could have used more story and much better graphics. The effects were good at the expense of textures IMHO. The 360, or any other next gen system, should be able to handle this. Another feature they could include would be loading the clear save on an old memory card (or just on the new HDD of the 360) and continueing the story from that point (whether you killed your sister or not, were bad or good, etc). This could be done with numorous RPGs, really. Not an expansion, though, you would, of course, be givin the option to start fresh.

You won't be able to fit a very large library on these (assuming you're going for N64/SNES games), so hopefully there will either be bigger cards or some sort of a mass storage device add-on or something.

But here's my arguement. In a real shooter, one hit, you're dead. Rarely do you get so much as a shield.

And I agree, mostly because these games involve bullet absorbing meatbags that can instantly fix themselves up with a couple of adhesive bandages and a chemicle cold-compress. Reflexes are rendered less-necessary. Try Einhander for the PS1. One of the best shooters ever. Try Twinkle Star Sprites for Neo-Geo (I think that's what I played it on) if you think your anylytical mind can see order in a madness of bullets flying. Hell, even Geometry Wars takes real reflexes.

Think about it. Relativity makes great sense. If you traveled at half the speed of light (assuming time doesn't pass at warp 1): 50 years pass on earth, 25 for you. Problem is, it takes another 25 for you to get back. Now, relative to you, the earth is going back in time 25 years (provided you go the same speed back). Back to zero extra years.

Relativity is limited in its usefulness. Aging only stops/slows down for the visual perspective of the observer. You will still have aged 50 years if you speed of at light -1m/sec from earth. If they could 'see' with some sort of telescope, they would notice that you are moving very slowly, and not aging, mostly because so many of those photons carrying the information of your visual status haven't had the ability/time to reach the lenses.

If humans could only react to sound, then Einstien would likely have said that nothing goes faster than sound because we can't percieve it faster than sound. (And we'd be stupid to try, lots of things to bump into if sound can't head back faster than it got there).
