I rip several movies to disk on my old Mac laptop (400mhz G3) for trips. Best eBay deal I did, getting it. But yeah, after hearing Apple's doing movie rentals through their iTV and iTunes, I'm wondering how long it'll be before someone breaks the encryption on d/l'ed movies.
First game I really remember was Stratego. I started making my own pieces, extending the game but don't really remember too much of that. I got D&D in the white box/three brown books. Still have the books. Couldn't really explain how to play it to my friend or sister so I spent a couple years just making dungeons and such. I'd already been making maps based off of Tolkien's Middle Earth. Finally, once the dragon picture box showed up, I was able to get some others playing. Turned out I didn't really like gaming; either DM'ing or as a player. Just liked making worlds and such.
For computers, the rich kid in our neighborhood had a TRS-80 and the Sears Pong game. We all hated him but sucked up in order to get time on his stuff.
Dude, all the CEO's and business men that trumpet 'Free Market' want anything but a free market. That's why the DOD/Military issues no-bid contracts and there's no oversight on how those contracts are carried out. What they really want is an uneven playing field, that is tilted in their direction.
I think I'm going to come up with my own encryption scheme, that Apple doesn't support (ROT 13?), and then sue them for not licensing it from me. Because... I'm an idiot? Wah?
Not sure how Bush will do that, reducing the nuclear stockpile and all. Still, is consistent with running down the Army and Marines, making it difficult to defend the U.S. But it is all about nation building and foreign adventures. Reduced military preparedness, fiscal irresponsibility, foreign interventions; all sound conservative values!
Vancouver deserves a slap. It's always going on about how it looks just like New York, L.A., or even teh future! Meh. Smack it in the mouth, just for getting all uppity.
Moving from horizontal to vertical/upright position has seriously screwed up our respiratory system. Allows all sorts of gunk to fall down into it. Much better having a system laid out horizontally. Someone should fix that.
I think I first saw it in a Sluggy Freelance cartoon, back in '97 during the original suicide bikini frisbee ep. Or in something else. Since hitting 40, page fault errors are multiplying.
I had a '72 Nova but I had a tire (tyre) blow out on I-90. Pulled us into the median into a horizontal spin and then we were sliding upside down across the interstate to the outside edge where we did an end-for-end flip over the guard rail and embankment. Car roof was flattened down accept where it was tented over the high back bucket seats.
Someone driving behind us, who stopped to help, said the whole thing, from when we swerved into the median until we came to a stop was only a few seconds but in my memory, seemed to go on for over a minute. Weird!
Ferris would be a cool name.

We need to get over to Mars and get that Eighth Ray. That'll show them there helium chuggers!

Maybe they let the corporate lawyers pick the music?
Woo-hoo! I invented new idiocy for 2008!
Man, this is going to be a great year.

Big red pencil from first grade.

Darn you Gollum. Darn you to HECK!
Also includes Liv Tyler singing the main theme of "The Lord of the Rings".
I prefer Bill Murray.
Would need to get Charleton Heston to narrate and as old Hurin.
Dude! I've put up with 20 years of Mac bashing here on Slashdot. Oh, ok, 15 years. The last 5 haven't been bad. /tiny viola

Weird. Never even heard of it. Never would have thought of putting that addy in if I was looking for Star Trek info.
Meh.
Silly Rabbi, kicks are for Trids!
I put a twin turbo big block chevy into my BMW M3. It now does back flips.
Does MicroSoft have a long wanker or no shins?

No, did both at once. Is baggy z00t s00t.
It's an accident magnet. Two out of three Novas I've owned have been totaled. The third one just rusted away/sold for scrap.
Oh man!

(was third Nova I'd totaled)
