Hmm, I can't agree with that statement. The dominant political group of arguably the most powerful nation on the planet is not a private entity. The world is watching both the Democrat's and Republican's plans and strategies, and it seems strange that the GOP would need to hide this information. (And if you think 'hide' is too strong a word, consider that this is not a random occurrance or systems failure, it is methodical)
Such as the US Republican party blocking access to their sites outside of North America? (note: this is new, not the temporary election block) What possible rationale could they have to limit access in this manner?
Why didn't they instead spend the $$$ improving rendering in FireFox so that all these IE only sites render properly?
With the few sites which fail to work in Gecko browsers these days, it's usually down to either stupid browser detection (workaround: change user agent string), use of VBscript, use of IE's DOM instead of the W3C DOM, or the use of ActiveX controls.
Since the Mozilla team's goal is to implement a W3C standards-compliant browser, "fixing" these issues would anathema to them.
You're right, I picked a poor word to describe Rowling's writing style. It's not schlock, but it is a much simpler style and easier to digest. When I first read LOTR in middle school, I often had to read passages several times to fully understand them. Heck, I know some adults who still can't make it through the series because of Tolkien's writing style.
I read 1-3 pages per minute, depending on the content
And that's the catch, the content. I can easily read 3 pages per minute of large font Harry Potter-grade shlock. Tolkien, on the other hand, has a much more dense writing style. (not to mention a smaller font to make it all fit in ~1200 pages) Personally, I consider myself a pretty strong reader, and I usually average about 50 pages per hour on Tolkien. YMMV, of course;)
Yeah, I think ornithopters were mentioned one or two times in the Herbert novels too. Sad that most people relate to one of the great modern science fiction series by it's derivative works..
...the terms and conditions that are told to you by the company.
Doesn't anything about being "told" terms and conditions strike you as being a little one sided? Real contracts allow the negotiation of terms, and somehow I don't think Valve is going to accept a modified EULA. Especially since they already got paid.
Knoppix can be pretty fast if you have enough RAM that applications get cached. And if you have 1 GB+ of RAM you can cache the entire OS! Loading Gimp 2.0 in < 1 second is sweet..

Anybody else reminded of the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons'?

I already have Knoppix, and a Gamecube. Might as well try to combine two of my hobbies..
I'd buy one just to screw around with Gamecube-Linux.. not really interested in pirating games (even though I know that many people are).
My eyes, the Googles do nothing!!

Outdated products like Windows 2000 Professional?
Microsoft's own product lifecycle chart indicates "Mainstream Support" through June 30, 2005, and "Extended Support" through June 30, 2010.

I believe SELECT TOP is unique to Micros~1 SQL Server, while SELECT ... LIMIT is part of the ANSI standard.
