    T3 was pretty good. Not as good as the first two, but not bad by any means. I didn't care for Salvation at all. Hopefully the series can wrap up and have a good sendoff now.

    My car is apparently too noisy, because I've never gotten voice dialing to work right either. Once a call is established though, I defy anyone to show a material difference between the driving skills of someone using a BT earpiece and someone chatting with a passenger. Texting madly with both thumbs, dividing your eyes between the screen and the road is just plain stupid though.

  6. To repeat what others have said, correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation. More people have moved to cities too, where the air is worse. And no one is able to "account for all variables".

    I think they perfected the Windows UI in 2000 (or XP in Classic Mode). Everything since then has been a step backwaards.

    Me as well. The ZX81 made pretty efficient use of its space because those BASIC commands were tokenized. They took up less memory. "1K Chess" remains to this day a remarkable achievement, written in pure machine language.

    It amazes me how Fox's entertainment division can put sheer crapfests like "American I-Duh-l" and "Jumping Around Like A Monkey With The Stars" on the air, and then schizophrenically give a greenlight to this, which promises to be great.

    I've never thought the people at M$ were stupid, or incapable. Their problem is that the company's run by marketers instead of engineers. I'm with you; this guy was just venting his frustrations.

    People are like the proverbial frog put in a pot to boil. This has been going on a long time. I thought for sure that Americans would revlt against the TSA fondling them at airports, but we've become a nation of compliant sheep.

    This hysteria surrounding GM crops and now the bee thing has always mystified me. Without those GMOs and without those pesticides, yields would be much lower. Technological advances have allowed mankind to multiply farm output per acre many times. Try feeding 7 billion people with mules and cow manure & purely "organic" methods.

    The problem is on the consumer end, where Windows is heading quickly to irrelevance.

    WH8 needs to lose Metro. I don't know a *single* business that's hankering to install it. Its only adoption will be by consheepmers.
