Not necessarily. Microsoft , if it ever feels shortage for patents, can always buy other companies who have those. As far as the OS goes, they already have a lead in the business, and the best strategy for them is to copy original works from other competitors and provide them to their wider customer base.

Haven't you heard this again and again " The IQ of a group is equal to that of the least intelligent" . I guess it applies for the kids also. When you are in a social euphoria, rarely do you care about your surroundings or the interests of the being in the surroundings. Think about the noise and scenes we make when we meet a dear friend after a long while is a public place. I am not presuming that a small noise from the car is goining to gain their attention for good, but rather it would be advisable to the driver that he better stop if doesnt want to make a genocide. In my opinion, the cell phone also will put you into such a social euphoria at times, and you will loose your sense or manners in the public. I have seen a guy kicking a post while talking on the phone. Who in their right sense will do that in public! Perhaps, the right manners to teach kids would not be how to cross a road properly, but how not to embarass yourself while using a mobile phone, since mobile phones will be a part of our life for the forseable future...

My vote also. People will definitely question the objective of such a bill. If the merit is to increase the speed on highway, the fees or fine will come under question. On the other hand, if its raising money ( 1 billion or 1 trilion), the priceless lives lost in those accidents will be on the weighing scale with it. "Gino" should know this. From an advertisement point of view, yes, this catches eye left and right. I mean think about the number of times we were behind the steering on a dump straight highway with no vehicles at all, but have to stick to the ridiculous state speed limit. Gino did tried to 'connect' with people but rather in an irresponsible way.

  12. Re:No, what Apple's products are is fashionable on The Coming Onslaught of iPad Competitors · · Score: 1

Only because the view on the subject alludes to the pc market in 2000s. Back then Apple PCs were not considered fashionable, but usable. However, much of the techis and geeks shyed away from them because the general opinion was that those computers were for people who does not understand computers . So the obvious choice was linux onto which most of the techis flocked onto gladly. In other words, Linux was the fashion then, even though installing one and bringing it to useful levels require considerable efforts from the user. Windows was considered middle ground. A bit of evil and a bit of blessing. Ipod is significant because, thats one of the first product which changed this attitude over the time. Suddenly having an apple product became stylish. Iphone is one of the most fortunate product because ipod had already set the market tone for it and now ipad is following. Its funny to remember that, iphone is not the first PDA(or smartphone) apple has released and neither is ipad the first tablet., its Newton. Even though it was a revolutionary concept back then in 1990s', sadly, it never had the aura of fashion or style which iphone and ipad enjoy now.
