I guess that's where we differ in politics between a border. And of course that's a brilliant idea, let's run with yours for a moment. So, Obama is going to do as he pleases, mess up the mid-term, and the following presidential election...just to do what he wants. Right-o...then again, I've seen that in Canada for the Conservative Party...killed them outright...look at the Kim Cambell fiasco.
Obama isn't a lame duck president, he did everything he's wanted to do, including some illegally--as seen by the rulings of the SCC where he tried to introduce law by XO. What's he really is, is a partisan hack president, who believes that the only way to get anything done is the way *he* wants it done. That includes dumping all over your average american, and putting the squeeze on them(see the WH's direction on public memorials, and private businesses during the sequester).
Don't worry...DICE's focus groups tell them that all the teenagers find it kicks ass, and flows nicely. The only thing missing is automatic twitter and facebook integration...
Really? Odd that I've run across no less than two stories today claiming just that. One from atmos.uiuc, and the other via climate change websites. Can't remember where I saw the last but oh yes, those doom and gloom folks are reporting just that. Don't worry if it doesn't fit your narrative.
I dunno. The flappy headed environmentalists have been telling us for years(closer to decades) that there will be no ice in the arctic or antarctic. And the met centre in the UK went as far as to say a few years ago that "snow would be a thing of the past, and would only be read about in books." If there was a great fraud being perpetrated that people are cluing in on, then it would be the doom and gloom hoax of our lifetime.
Being deprived of the ability to go where you please IS unpleasant, you stupid fuck.
Really? Let's see in most min. security prisons you can: Go for a walk, get outside without supervision, get day visits to large public areas providing it's not a violation of your conditions if you had any before you went to jail. You can get weekends out, get pretty much the same amenities that you would have in a small apartment including full privacy. The gates are effectively open between 10am and 5pm daily, so if you have the ability you can walk right out.
Yep pretty unpleasant. Oh did I forget to mention you get medical, dental, vision, and upto including university courses? So, you stupid fuck...perhaps you should realize that some of us have family that works in the prison system dealing with scum retrobates. Then again, if you were in there perhaps you should have used that glorious thing called a brain and not end up there in the first place.
That's nice, it gets -20F here. And I've seen it as low as -35F in southern ontario(which is farther south), as a useful point the effectiveness of salt diminishes the closer you get to -10C, at -10C it stops being effective totally and you need to mix in other things to keep it working. Or switch to a chemical deicer but those are usually only good to -20C or so, some of the more expensive ones will work to -30C or so.
And being that I just came back from a part of the country where it hit -39F... in mid-november I've got a fair idea of how deicing works, doesn't work, and options.
In otherwords, they're using what we've been spraying on roads in Canada for the last 5 years...and what we make in the depot yards from the "powdery leftover salt." Of course we add in a chemical deicer as well, since it quite often gets below -10C here in the winter, and straight salt stops working properly at -9C. And then there's other places here in Canada where we use gravel or sand, and only that because even chemical deicers don't work when it gets that cold.
If French had any talent for making movies they would pay for themselves and wouldn't need to be subsidized. Name one French movie that isn't boring and pretentious crap.
Oddly there's quite a few Canadians who say the same thing about the government subsidizing movie and tv production here in Canada. Especially subsidizing things from Quebec...and it's gotten a lot more attention in the last few years, especially when large swaths of the media and publications have become anti-anglophone.
Not the computer, the power supply. A good PSU can handle the 2-5ms swapping time, the cheaper the PSU, the higher the chance that it won't be able to handle the sudden brownout voltage and auto-power off.
Uh...what makes "remote deployed" an issue? When I was working at a large industrial plant we had a massive custom built battery backup system for all the electronics across three buildings. As for there being a hassle of recycling lead-acid batteries, where I live you call a number and they give you the closest depot to drop them off at. And in some cases, the company that does the recycling will even ship containers to you, so you can ship them your dead cells.
That really works good, as long as you live somewhere that gets plenty of sunlight to keep those batteries topped up. Right now I'm at day 23 of fully overcast weather. Oh and before someone thinks...gee wind...yeah none of that either at ground level. Even better the further north you go, the less sunlight you get. Where I was in northern Alberta we were at 4-5hrs of sunlight at the first week of December.
It depends on where you live and what bank you have. Where I live in Ontario, the same rights are afforded to me on my debit card that my credit card has. Including a lock limit on the RFID of no more than $50.
Really, you're defending your silly statement? Say, you're not one of those guys who's never wrong, are you? You know, the kind who will twist and squirm and say anything to avoid it?
Says the AC who can't post with a screen name. Odd how I'm actually right, and the best you have is a personal attack. Damn that reality.
You don't trust him because you don't know anything about him. Let me be the first to inform you that it's pretty easy to look someone up on the internet these days.
We also knew plenty about Bernie Madoff now didn't we. And really it matters squat whether or not something is approved by USAID, since USAID has also "supported" various charities that funneled money to islamic terrorist groups.
Well you're free to donate money to whoever you want, but I wouldn't to this group. And it's similar to reasons why I don't support groups like Greenpeace, Sierra Club, United Way or the Red Cross.
Because they are usually required to pay customers a lot more for feed-in power than they can generate it for, with no allowance for their internal cost overheads, etc.
Of course, and this in turn is offset by higher electricity prices. Surprise, and welcome to Ontario, Canada. Where electricity prices will jump 33% in the next 3 years thanks to "green energy." This will make it one of the most expensive places in North America to buy electricity. And what's funny? These "green energy retrofits and FiT programs" account for under 14% of generation.
If you have a brain, you got rid of those fucking things more than 5 years ago.
Anyone with a brain would be railing against free choice in the market. Especially on those "long lasting, lifetime bulbs" that only last a few months because they're packed full of either knockoff, or reclaimed capacitors and resistors.
Funny....how damned funny, that there's no issues with the $0.33 incandescent bulbs. Especially when they last 5 years.
You're the first person I've ever heard call Erdogan a Muslim extremist. Authoritarian, sure, but generally he's considered a secularist.
You must not pay too much attention to what he's actually doing and said. If he's a secularist, then it should be very easy for you to explain why he's pushing for the destruction of churches, and blames everything "on da juice"(aka the Jews), and why he just went on a massive hunt, imprison, and disappearing act against the secular members of the military leadership. Going as far as imprisoning members who were responsible for installing a secular government the last time around and making those individuals actually disappear after a very quick show trial, then installing generals who are devoutly muslim.

Ugh...
No they did not.

but I do not like what people do there --- they TELL EVERYBODY EVERYTHING ABOUT THEMSELVES.
Facebook exists to fill the need in narcissists. Nothing more, nothing less.

-10C is nothing, it often gets -10F there.
That's nice, it gets -20F here. Minimum security prisons no longer as nice as you claim them to be.
One can only hope, prison is supposed to be an unpleasant experience. Not "a temporary bording house."

I have had that problem, though. I guess it depends on what hardware you have.
My guess is, shitty hardware. I've never seen this happen unless the batteries were bad. And I've been using UPS's since the mid 90's.
Uh...what makes "remote deployed" an issue? When I was working at a large industrial plant we had a massive custom built battery backup system for all the electronics across three buildings. He meant buy the Mac Pro from Apple and install Windows on it. Seems clear if you think about it first. Just a tip.
Useful tip: "New hardware" even if you buy manufactured...it still counts as OEM, perhaps you should think about it. Just a tip.
OEM copies that go with new hardware are about half that price. Just a tip.
Speaking as an Ontarian.
Then you should already know that 60% of our power is generated by nuclear, and 25% by hydroelectric. So yes, it is a bad thing.
Because they are usually required to pay customers a lot more for feed-in power than they can generate it for, with no allowance for their internal cost overheads, etc.

That's easy, you take the holy word of the IPCC unto thyself and join it's church.

Secular this guy is not.
