    The real problem is not "Dead Hand". Guys in the Kreml are totally nuts like their communists' "fathers" in soviet times. Remember, Mr. Putin is KGB officer. Mr. Medvedev is just "doll" in his hands. And Stalin in new Russia is rather hero and effective manager then torturer and Hitler's twin. They write such a crap about Stalin in the school history books. And Kremlins still believe that they can rule in whole 1/6 of world.

    Remember Georgia occupation year ago? They already talking about the same scenario in Ukraine. Who is Russia best friend? Ugo Chavez and they just give him a bunch of weapons allmost for free.

    I am Ukrainian and I know what I say. Russia is still dangerous and it is just smaller USSR. People kill people, not guns.

    Windows is such a super sick beast that can not exist without vulnerabilities. Every hole and BSoD is not a big. It is classical Windows feature.

    Guys! You all missing the point that N900 as previous N700, N800 and N810 is truly open Linux platform with big and growing community around maemo.org I have Debian on my N810 co-existing with official OS with all it's bells and whistles. N900 is much faster so Debian will run on it smoothly and easily. It means you can have many thousands of applications of your choice running on your phone. Just install "Easy debian" package and put Debian's image on your microSD card. It means that you have full-featured computer in your pocket with a lot of possibilities opened by free software.
    Besides it, new community developed OS "Mer" is synced with Ubuntu and developes quickly. It may became an OS of next generation for such devices.

    You are completely right. Whole DMCA stuff has nothing related to safety or security. It is all about profit. Corporations are defending profit that they get from selling copies of content. They do not want to think of new profit models of digital millennium.

    They just want old dust covered methods to keep working forever and only way to keep this models working is personal freedom violation.

    The same situation in Ukraine. Bastards force people to pay M$ tax with each computer purchase and it is impossible to get money back for unused Windows. That's why I hate Microsoft. I do not want to pay $400 for stupid disc I never use.

    Only question that I am concerning about Win7 price is M$ taxes that I pay buying notebook. I just can not get good notebook without Win installed. And it is almost impossible in Ukraine to get money back for unused Win. I do not need it at all because I am quite satisfied with Linux.

    The question:

    Is it easy in EU to get money back for pre-installed Windows we must buy with notebook?
    I do not agree to pay $400 for thing I do not need at all!

    Total bullshit! Read "Seven Reasons Why Beef Is Not Ready For The Dinner Table" article first (Use Google search to find it). May be last time you installed some Linux desktop was a decade ago.

    Real reason people use Windows is mind inertia. Second is monopoly of MS, that fights against every attempt to go to the market with other product.

    There is no market with Windows. There is MONOPOLY. Ugly and rotten monopoly that even US government does not dare to fight. All the world pays M$ taxes with computer hardware. There is no choice at all in every computer store. So guys, what market you are speaking about? Only few people around the globe managed to get money back for unused Windows on their computer. It is the situation if you dare to look at it with sober eye.

    That is more correct question. If some HW vendor is not ready to Linux, do not buy such hardware. If some SW vendor does not provide Linux version, ask them to support Linux. More letters and they do Linux version. There are a lot of examples.

    Most arguments of that Russian guy smells naphthalene.

    And I know that freedom is worthless for Russians.
