    I know.
    But the entire site is open to this kind of attack.
    And a good spammer could edit the pages so that the layman would not notice, so unless you had a large number of editors (like Wikipedia), the small Wikis would be hit.

    While this is fine for the Sandbox (which should be raked every few days anyway), its not good for the rest of the Wiki when it is a source of information, like mine, or Wikipedia.

    My point is that we need a return to the good old days of the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum & Amiga when it was possible for "bedroom programmers" to create good quality games.

    I would say this exists in the form of mods.

    Cheap Mac - 550 UKP
    Using current h/w, and a friends MacOS X CDs - Free.

    Great news for OSS developers, we can actually test apps on MacOS X! O/c I'd love to go the eMac (or even better 17" TiBook) route. But I don't have 550UKP.

    My Psion Revo PDA is quite easy to use when walking. (build in "thumb" Keyboard).

    A SubNotebook is very cheap if you look in you local second hand shop. I've seen a Psion 7 for ~100UKP.

    NetHack. All the "notes" device you want, and games of NetHack on the go.

    (p.s. I'd go with the Revo over the 5 MX, just cos its cheaper and quite a bit smaller, but with no CF slot & mono screen. But runs everything you need)

    But it is big, expanive, and don't use it.
    Go to your local second hand shop, and pick up a 5yr+ PDA (Psion Revo is my recomendation) for 20-50.
    All the "Notes" you could want, plus VNC, Telnet, and most importantly NetHack.

    Actually, this is not too hard.
    Installers can only create one folder in [macoses program files] called [appname].app, in which it can do as it wishes,
    and can only create one folder (.[app name]) in ~, in which it can do as it wishes.

    The apps should have to registar which files (by mime-type) it wishes to read/write, and only be able to play with them (and all files in ~/.[appname]).
