Does the US citizen - Average Joe (or above average) know or care about this? On a personal note, I'm shocked the government made a choice for a person over a corporation/lobby group/foreign power. First time In my life I think I've agreed with a home secretary?!?! must be getting old.
They only want to censor Tim Berners-Lee's(UK) bit of the internet. I blame Tommy Flowers(UK) for starting this all. Charles Babbage(UK) wouldn't have let this happen.;)
Microsoft's mice and keyboards have always been really good - or a better way to put that would be - the old ones I bought years ago are really good. Still using them! I don't know about modern ones. My point? I like their peripherals so there is a chance the tech they make will be good. Software... another matter.
As pedants go it was the most informative I've seen. It pointed out something was wrong (the unhelpful standard). But this pedant told the person A) why it was wrong and b) provided examples. I wish I hads me this at school. It is a handy level of pedant. To whom is may concern. Thanks.
Sorry, I read it like *you* thought it couldn't happen because *you* liked fast cars. On the bizarre side, the US has the tech to dominate the eco future of the world. It has the bible belt to want to save God's gift, the "Earth" and there should be enough global profit to make legislation be pro Eco pro . I thought the military fuel expenditure supply chain problem (use 5 gallons to deliver 1 gallon) should be better results. U.S. tanks should be the most Eco death machine ever seen.
+ insightful. Ford make EcoBoost. It really is a good bit of kit from what i've read. They had to make it or fail as a company on the world stage as they had nothing to match Europe or Asia makers.
No. You'll just get power/torque with better MPG. Ford's 1lt EcoBoost Engine which produces 120PS @ 170Nm. Same as 1.6lt 4 cylinder Engine in Fiesta is proof that engineers can do so more when the market wants it. You are part of the problem.

For further context, the exact same joke has been posted on Sickipedia about a hundred times in the last week, with no arrests. People go to Sickipedia expecting to see such jokes, so in that context it cannot be considered "grossly offensive".
But this guy posted it on the offical Find April Jones Facebook page. Thus, it might be considered directed at the victims, and is hence a breach of criminal law.
Of that is the joke then it wasn't grossly offensive. Too soon maybe. I've heard worse in the pub and I guess that's the difference. Grossly offensive being the context of the conversation and topping each others joke. Poor man.
I had a look myself. It does seem a bit daft to ask people to do this. Is it easy to tell how sharp an image is? I could also select the best from a row of tiles. List 10s of rows and get more done , so the slow work UI is holding them back.
I hate having to store the media, and especially to go through a set of discs when setting up a new machine. I agree with that part.
But I have a big box of games that I like to go back to when I upgrade my machine (take a bit of effort to get the old ones working - I enjoy that too?).
I still live the "olden days" as some of those games are still really good.
When I did buy games I bought store games. I like owning the media. It's mine to do with as I please. Also Steam downloads are not price competitive (in the UK). Often they cost more than the store. I guess they price lock to be able to let store make a profit.
I downloaded the batman AC demo and loved it. It didn't use games for windows. I thought all DRM was done by steam. In a moment of weakness I bought the full version (costing more than the store) expecting to be able to play it in 10/15mins as I have a 70mb+ connection. It took ages to download. I could have gone to the store and back in that time. So I saved no money and the full version installs MS DRM for games.:(
Luckily the game was worth it. But I feel dirty when I see the DRM on my machine.
Agreed.
Reading a 3 year old copy of Cosmopolitan or some other women's magazine in a doctor's waiting rooms only fills me with contempt. Mostly with myself for reading it I guess. Lists of "50 ways to please your man" or "Know if your man is cheating" should be covered by some mental health warning. Please tell me women don't believe that shite. Inane twitter and facebook posts have more worth.
WHAT? No way. How about - Dungeon Master, 1987? That has Icons in a grid. A game of chess has bits you move about in a grid. I hope that patent wasn't given.
ohh - I don't like that idea, best send him over ASAP. Hmm, and bring Mr Hamza back with an apology, a pay off and a big house in Kensington.
I hope me and the other brits are for it. They'll sort out worse internet laws off the back of it, so it may not help in the long run.

I think he's under some stress and may need money to build a really long tunnel.
At what point does a government forget that it works for the people of its nation?
You think the design of a mouse or a keyboard is simple?
That would be interesting to watch. I hope this happens.

53mpg whilst not trying as I recall.

This changes my standpoint. What a prick.
/Poor man - Mind you, the family may not think that! Poor family and child.

I don't think that is true for office machines. OEMs need to sell those in bulk and get money for support contracts.
Does prior art mean nothing? You could do that with the Amiga workbench by clicking on folders. Others will be able to predate that reference too.
I think Google applaud any serous competition Google gets. Keeps them guessing and going.
And icons in a grid?
