I decided to say "fuck you" to my parents who basically blackmailed me into going by threatening not to co-sign any loans. I went to a State School, graduated, and got a great job.

DO IT NOW! You want to become a TEACHER? Oh my god...you need to get your head out of your ass first. You're pissed because peoples expectations for fast computing are driving up prices for an 'average' PC and you can't afford it? My god...my brain...it's....it's melting...You have made me stupider. I will dedicate any and all moderator points I get to banishing your unfounded, blatantly wrong, ignorant posts to the realm of -1, where no one need read them.

If the people want these filters, let them have them. If the wrongly-blocked sites become a problem, rest assured there will be an uproar and filtering rules will change: Many people still have unfiltered net access at home. As for me and my children (if I ever have any) we won't be going to a public library. Public libraries are slow and often out-of-date. Any information required can be found on the 'net...and if that means the average person has a disadvantage...so be it! Self preservation I tell yah...

  13. Enforce existing rules before creating new ones. on Yet Another LinuxWorld Update · · Score: 2

I agree...if people don't feel like following the rules, then what can we do? Perhaps they get their points and wish to use them: It's easier to moderate down an obvious Troll or Flamebait than to dig through numerous decent posts to find the best. This behaviour is apparant when you notice a thread with 150 posts has 8 of them at "5", and the next highest post has a "2". We as moderators must be more vigilant, and read more thoroughly...I'm guilty too. Just my thoughts...
