We trained Bin Laden and then sold him out when the Russians left the country. Our actions started civil strife that resulted in the destruction of much of the Afghani infrastructure and allowed the Taliban to rise.
It was the pants-pissing pussies from the conservative fly-over states who demanded these insane forms of action. 9/11 did not merit two endless wars, nor did it merit the absurd level of "security" we have. But if you spoke up against the war or the security, plenty of Real Americans would shout you down.

Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security account for far more spending than the $107/yr to be pissed away into Afghanistan with no benefit for Americans not turning a profit from this war already.
Let's not forget the costs not factored into $107Billion/yr: life-long care for the thousands of crippled soldiers returning from this waste of time and effort.
I like paying less for my lawn care. I like cheap fruit and veggies. Americans won't work for the wages American businesses pay these people.

Until we have one world government, differing laws on data privacy mean you have added considerable complexity for the savings of using their cloud. Maybe it is a worthwhile trade-off, maybe not. But he is silly making such a blanket statement. If you work for a company that contracts with the US Government you may be aware of ITAR and the various rules about where data can be stored.
In general, to me, the cost savings is far over shadowed by the increased risk. Even if you mitigate the risk by doing your homework and picking a state with laws that you agree with...you've just spent quite some time and money on that research.
