...I mean...duh. Events in which a representative gov't is removed from power under the guise of a fabricated crisis? Gee....I wonder what events in the last few hundred years are similar.

This is just fucking losers looking for something to cry about. It's a goddamn story Lucas has had in his noggin for like 30 years.

Don't flatter yourself by thinking he's dissing YOUR guy. Bleh.

Of all the shows I have (all cartoons, except Mr. Show) on DVD, Futurama commentaries are the best. You get a feel for the chemistry between everyone involved, they explain all the nedy things I always wanted to know, explain some of the in-jokes.

I think they said it cost $1Million USD per episode...I wonder if they could recoup that on DVD sales alone? I'd hate to see quality suffer...and they'd need to get Billy West and John DiMaggio at a bare minimum for it to work.

The average person when they hear 'evolution' think of the evolution of living species. Why? Because the only time such a Big Word is used in the newspapers, it's usually the nutty religious people complaining that it isn't true. THen they get their sound bite and claim their invisuble sky-daddy is who what made the universe.

The 'common' definition is what any logical person would expect:

A gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form.

If they should be found guilty and sentenced, we should do our best to provide what support we can.

I was raised in a 'Church of Christ'. These people were better than your usual fundie...they did analyze the bible and often used multiple translations/languages to get subtle nuances. They readilly admitted that they had to choose what to believe and that it was a matter of faith. You just had to read it and see what fell together in your mind. There wasn't a dogma for the church...there often was disagreement about the meanings of passages and what god meant about hot topics.

The general feeling, even among these 'enlightened' christians was that micro-evolution (changes in a species like what Darwin saw) is true because it is aobservable. They could not accept the idea that humans evolved from fish, calling it Macro evolution.
