  1. If THAT don't work... on Moving Up the IT Ladder in a Poor Economy? · · Score: -1

Knock up one of the 16 year-old parishoners...

  2. "Don't join the union.." on IT Workers Not Eligible for Overtime in New Rules · · Score: -1

Hahahah...man...that is simple. What about the 'union only' shops that pressure the employers to ONLY allow union employees? That's pretty fucked up right there...no...unions are for chumps and half-wits who just aren't very good at doing things that people want to pay money. No thanks...I'd rather die than uionize.

  3. Resale Value is for those who can't afford it. on PowerBooks & iBooks Get Speed Bumped · · Score: -1

    Resale value...oh man...

  4. If 50% of current drivers lost this 'privledge' on Automobile Black Box Sends Driver to Jail · · Score: -1, Troll

The entire country's economy would fall apart. I love how they claim it's not a right, when driving is required to make this large spread out nation work.

  5. ObjectREXX LIVES! on Two Takes on the Java Dilemma · · Score: 0

IBM would have to dust off something to use in place of Java....

  6. Looks like a clunky version of windows! on KDE 3.2: A User's Perspective · · Score: 0

KDE is to MS Windows as Kia is to Honda.

And the interface is STILL slower on equiv. machines due to using XWindows. Users don't like that.

  7. Every Day Speech = Wrong on KDE 3.2: A User's Perspective · · Score: -1

Who cares. Obviously it's not so common that everyone understands it! I took the literal meaning...which is more correct factually.

  8. Ahhh...like income tax! on The Only Way Microsoft Can Die is by Suicide · · Score: -1

Only, instead of not trying to make money, I just lie about it and circumvent the tax system. It's genius!

  9. I'd trigger the redlight on purpose! on Stoplights to Mete Out Punishment? · · Score: -1

Especialy at night when some mouth breather with ill-aimed super-bright headlamps is blinding me. Wait till last minute, raise speed to trigger redlght, stomp the gas and slide through the yellow while billy bob's jacked up hick'em'up truck gets stuck at the light.

    It'll be GREAT!

  10. You know shit. VW Bugs run 10s and 9s on Hack Your Ride · · Score: -1

Look it up. You obviously don't know crap about cars, so stop running your mouth.

  11. You realize you are defrauding the Warranty Provid on Hack Your Ride · · Score: -1

..er right? I mean, the warrany was devised to keep a STOCK car running at no charge to the customer for a certain ammount of time. You increase turbo pressure and timing, you stress the motor more. I think doing such a thing is dishonest.

  12. So how come Blockbuster doesn't rent CDs? on Microsoft Preps 'Janus' Music Copy-Prevention Scheme · · Score: -1

OK, besides the obvious concept that it's very easy to copy compared to DVD. I think that people 'use' movies and music in different ways. Very rarely do I just sit and listen to music. Usually I'm working or driving or reading something light. When I rent a movie, I pay my few bucks and take in the experience.

I've asked many non-techie people about this concept and they all have said they would rather own the music...either as an unprotected file or physical media. I mean, what if you lose your job and have to cut back on expenses...you lose access to your music!

  13. A shame she didn't appreciate that... on People with real l337 speak names? · · Score: -1

  16. The gov't screws us endlessly...I want my turn... on Lawyers Using Databases To Grab Clients · · Score: 0

Improper treatment by law enforcement, selective enforcement, dirty cops and judges. The Prosecutors use every trick they can, technical or not, to get people convicted. I want a lawyer who does the same.

What if the reason is, they just hate non-Islamic people? I know I'm simplifying here, but it's to make my point. Sometimes, you just gotta kill.

  22. Maybe they should work on the limits code... on Coding The Future Linux Desktop [updated] · · Score: -1

Come on, you haven't been reading slashdot for long if you missed that story that said you could rearrange letters in a word, but as long as the first and last were in position, people can figure out what it means. Machines can't do that. Duh.

  24. Same with doctors... on Plumber, Electrician... Digitician? · · Score: -1

There are good and bad mechanics and good and bad doctors. In both cases (in my experience) the bad outweigh the good, so when you get one of either profession that works for you...it's like finding gold. Shouldn't be that way, but it is.

By doctor I mean general practitioner. Most specialists I or my friends and family have been to seem to be of a higher quality.
