    I have a USB drive for my PS2 that lets me download saved games and transfer them over to a memory card. There are also devices to allow memory cards to be accessed on the computer. Easy way to load in say a player list.

    Except that Walmart offers a notebook that has Wifi and bigger hard drive and better CPU for only $549. For only 50-70 bucks more gets you a decent computer than this subpar thing.

    With something like a C3 shouldn't need to configure anything and suspend does nothing for you if you are actualy using the ntoebook.

    I have an old 366 Celeron notebook that gets 2.5hrs battery in Linux but less than 2 in Win98. As this was a cheapo CompUSA branded notebook it came with nothing but Win98 and some drivers. I imagine Balance is doing the same so Linux should perform better.

    Wornick Co, vendor for MREs, sells a consumer version called Homestyle Express. Takes like a minute to heatup in the Microwave.

    Are you on mailing lists? Do you have long conversations with lots of replies?

    The grouping of replies is very nice. The rest is available in some fashion in other mail clients.

    What is is that MS fanboys allways say? Oh, yes, "If you don't value your time then Linux is free."

    If you think it is easy to setup a secure environment in Windows, I must question what you are instaling. Even games from MS don't run unless you are admin.

    but then you are getting into some murky territory as the given reason for gun ownership protection, but the gun owner really wants is the thrill during target practise.

    How often does the National Guard or other militias practice? Once a month, couple times of year? If you are target shooting every week, then the primary purpose of the gun is target practise.

    There is normal use and then there is manufacturer claims of normal use. Regardless, Wouldn't you be upset if your $5k TV dies in 5+years?

    I bought my first CD writer in 1998. I still have cds that are readable that were labeled with a Sharpie. Of course I only buy cds with a label.

    I think the real problem is when you label the discs. On most discs, the discs is semi-transparent, so what you write on the label side can be seen from the reflective side. The writing could potentially change the reflictivity and effectively ruin the disc, particuarly after the dye has faded after a while.

    I have seen a case where a disc was burned with a fingerprint on the reflictive side. It could be read fine. After the disc was cleaned, you could still see where the fingerprint was, but the disc was no longer readable.

    Probably would be best to label before the burn. I all ways try do that myself.

    Mitral valve prolapse can usually be diagnosed with a stethscope. It can be caused by various bacterial infections. And actinomyces is a serious concern for those with heart murmurs. Usually it means that before any Dentist appointment, a prescription of antibiotics (some sort of cillin usually ampicillin) must be taken. Sometimes a regimen of antibitoics has to be taken, but now adays usualy just a couple of pills before the appointment.

    It is a mild concern that the one doctor Pat mentions is a cancer researcher. Well he is in our prayers.

    That is presuming one is doing it on a console, and there are other ways like buying a HDD and using HDLoader.

    On a PC, it is relatively easy to download game, burn disc and install a nocd.exe, or so I am told.

    But how many households buy video games. While the Game industry wants one copy per computer, do you really think that happens except in the most draconian DRM schemes.

    Well, Sony makes a profit. I think Nintendo makes a profit overall. Last I heard, MS was still losing money on the Xbox. I think it was something like three games need to be sold for every Xbox to just break even (and that includes buying Halo{2}).
