Who cares if Manhattan becomes part of the Atlantic? Realistically, it's stupid for it to be what it is anyway. All of the business done there can just as easily be done elsewhere, except for ports, which isn't the major business for Manhattan anyways
Who fucking cares? Some slut with a bunch of emo myspace pictures(check wiki) is offended that Google cancelled her account on their private service. They have every right to. Big fucking deal. Start your own service if you have a problem with that.
In simple terms, since, apparently, you need it simpler than I already stated: If one culture has consistently better scores than another than it is obvious that culture is a major defining factor in scores.
I don't need Google mining my data anymore than it already does. I'm perfectly happy with my 25mbit/25mbit connection. If you really need any faster than that as a consumer you've got serious issues.
That's the thing. It's the parents, not the schools. I'm on the west coast. The schools I went to and the schools my son attends are full of Koreans, most of the families have some sort of family business and, thus, are fairly entrepreneurial. They push their kids to the top of the class in school by loading up their extracurricular activities with tutors, tutors, and more tutors. When they break out API scores by ethnicity, you'll see numbers like you see at the example I've chosen in So Cal(higher the better, obviously): Asian: 946, Filipino: 906, Non-latino White: 889, Hispanic: 835, Black: 830. The majority of schools have similar discrepancies by ethnicity. Considering the trend, it's obvious it's completely cultural. No race is "smarter" than the other, and even then test scores are about recall ability rather than intelligence. When scores by ethnicity have similar results as above across all schools you can't blame the school.
RDR was boring as fuck. MGS4 was also very long, but not boring at all, but I'd be willing to bet it has a similar completion rate because it was difficult despite how awesome it was.
The key is not doing the things that make people bored with the fucking game.
Exactly. Make a good non-boring game and people will play it. I'd prefer good long games so I get my money's worth, but if they want to make them shorter and keep the price high I'll just use GameFly. Fuck 'em. That said, I still purchased games like Rez knowning that they're short, just because they're too good to pass up.
You can get a GDDR5 5770 for a little bit more. More ram, big newer, less power consumption. Runs well in CrossFireX as well. I've been very happy with mine
Anyways, the new Doom was the same thing. Everyone raved about how great it looked, but to me it looked like a bunch of plastic dolls. Might be highly detailed textures, but when they look like waxy plastic models it makes it worse than previous attempts.
Ultimately, this is why tile-based rendering owns. Unfortunately, the Kryo series is dead. 3dfx's last dying breath was also in enhanced occlusion to improve performance. Pity the big dogs don't do it
To be honest, Bing for mobile is better than Google when I compare my LG Quantum(WP7) to my Samsung Infuse(Android). Not sure if Bing apps/functionality is any different on Android, though.
/Google better for desktops, though their new "features" are grating
They're doing exactly what MS did with the Chevron team. Hire the talent to keep them from doing things you don't support while making it look like they're going to do something special for the community
It's pretty stupid what has been happening in UIs lately. MS is also guilty(along with everyone else). Used to be that each piece of software within a given ecosystem would have a common layout, common hotkeys, and common ways to find information. Now you have ribbons, no menus, no version numbers, and I'm sure you'll have no text fields as speech recognition improves in the future. I, for one, do not welcome our aesthetic GUI overlords. Please come back, functional GUI overlords.
You don't do much software support or development, do you?
If the developer says that their bit of software is certified for X version 1, they're going to laugh at you when you say you have some problem(any problem) on X version 3 and you need support. "Sorry, install a certified version on the software requirements sheet or we cannot help you."
I've also had problems with Steam, but I think that some of that is from the Steam end. The only reason I say that is because I'll never have any bandwidth problems with something like BT.
I have no problem with FIOS. I sustain very fast download speeds(and upload, for that matter). Reaching 25mbit is no problem(I have a 25/25 plan). Reaching past it isn't either. In fact, it's the best internet service I've ever had. Only service I'd put on par with it was MediaOne
Always thought Nintendo kick Apple's ass if they just added GSM to the DS and given it a bluetooth headset with a dialer. DS has games, a web browser, a camera(newer ones), etc. Just doesn't have a phone. They could have done exactly what Sony is doing with the Xperia Play and sold it subsidized. Too late now, though.
Well, 95 you went with OSR2. 2k you waited for SP2.. So maybe that's what they mean?

OJ was vindicated, too. Didn't help him much.

Tucows.com to the rescue
Oh, it will be worth less... to start. It's going to have a monthly subscription fee.
Yea, but he got beat up by Mel Gibson. I think they should send the bad ass Aussies
That's waisis.

Well, duh. It has to work on the shitty Xbox.

My only regret is that I have dumtarditis
no.
