    if you start voting with your wallet (ie, buying that ONE good song on a CD) the marketoids will realize that sucky music doesnt sell well, and there might be some sort of reformation in the music industry so that bands dont just pump out crap after crap after crap album because its in their contract.

    neither is an attractive proposition - disneyland just blows unless you are under 10 or serverly mentally impaired, and the half hour segway rental is just a dumb and boring idea.

    speeddisk for macos9 (part of Norton Utilities) did this to some degree, at least grouping system then application then free then document space. i have no idea how itelligent it was within those file categories, but the performance difference from a stock apple installation to optimized was measureable.

    your logic is somewhere along the lines of : microsoft makes the most popular OS, so it must be the best.

    in fact i have seen several reviews of the audigy versus other cards that show it is both overpriced and incorrectly advertised.

    most creative products have serious issues with a larger-than-it-should-be percentage of motherboards.

    plus, creative has screwed me on two products, a nomad II and my audigy. their RMA people are a bunch of idiots. ill never buy from them again. period.

    not at all. vpr is actually a subsidiary of bestbuy at this point, and that doesnt look like its going to change anytime soon. they are redeisgning the line and coming out with new hardware soon(tm). at least thats the last i heard. they only have one desktop on the shelf now with the 3.06 HT p4.

    that said, bestbuy does suck large monkey balls in terms of everything else. how i hated working there.

    rumors being rumors apple is also putting their machines back in the beast. anyone else confirm this?

    nah its probably not even THAT pure an innocent. i bet its cuz they are strapped for cash and they figure they can get a ton out of these spammers, AND keep the money in their own spam system.

    its a win-win situation for them.
