yeah why not? If they bundled every similar product, it'll take a few DVD's and hours for the user just to choose which product he wants to install or not. Installing an OS will only be a matter of days.
What's wrong with you people? I've been reading a few of the posts here and some of you blamed the justice system, the DMCA, ElcomSoft, even Dmitry Sklyarov. Hell, even Microsoft for some reason got blamed. Looks like Adobe got off easily, only one person blamed Adobe so far and that person got flamed and insulted. What do you want me to say? You get the kind of government you deserve.
hey I wasn't the one saying that closed-source is crap and all that stuff but VA Linux did and now they're doing something they dispise just to make a few bucks. I mean how low can you get?
Although I pride myself in being an extremly patient and nice guy I think I would have acted a lot more violently than this guy did.
48 hours without Internet Access? and worst of all having your privacy violated by the MPAA. I would have gone crazy, probably becoming a criminal and taking my revenge against those bastars. I wonder how he was able to stay calm.
I'm not asking which is more powerfull, I'm asking if it can be done and yes today I finally bought an ATI All in Wonder and in a matter of minutes I was importing my home made movie into my PC. I had a simple video to move to my PC and that's all I needed. Sure FireWire is more powerfull but for my needs, it's no big deal. Yes, I use Paint Shop Pro, it costs less and I don't need the power of Photoshop, I'm no artist.
I'm thinking... let's say some pharmaceutical company develops a drug that can cure AIDS, do they have to wait like two years to get their patent before being able to distribute that drug?
I'm clearly not a film maker and I still don't understand how this works, all those replies confused me even more. I thought that all I had to do was buy a video camera, shoot the movie and then transfer it to my computer. My question is, how does FireWire work?
Good God I must have been misinformed, I thought I could do do digital video editing using USB or via an AGP port with a graphic card such as ATI All in Wonder. Better return my PC and buy a Mac.
Wait a minute, isn't that the same way Windows admins became dumb? All of a sudden, we'll all be buying fairly secure machines from HP but when a real security threat hits, we're powerless. How do you expect sysadmins to be any good if they don't have a close relationship with the machine they administer?
Good point but I don't really see it as a bug, I view it more as a lacking feature, an important one.

That looks like the kind of security mistake I did when I was at the very beginning of web programming and it didn't take me long to discover and fix it.

Write a congressman? I think it would be much more effective if we paid a congressman into sharing our views.

Don't credit Microsoft for it, i came up with that idea first.

I have no idea how it goes, does anyone know?

Dude, with that kind of thinking you should work for Microsoft :)
It's true, I didn't feel it at all, i thought that Code Red was over hyped or something but apparently it hit pretty hard in the U.S.
Yeah the customers will get their $5 refund while the lawyer gets his millions. Sweet isn't it.

If you don't know security, you should have your server hosted by a company who's got capable admins.
Yes this will help Linux but it'll badly hurt Open Source.
Would I trust a guy who lives on computers or would I trust a company who lives on money? Oh that's a hard one.
Your view is kinda MicroSoftish dude, you're in the wrong community.
what? Just install Slackware or Rock Linux, it's as secure as it gets. Want more security? Go with OS/2, nobody will care to try and hack into it.

response.write "Forbidden"
end if
I'll get that "I don't work here" tshirt out of the closet.
