First he wants control of his own app store to decide what he wants in it and what he wants out. Now he's trying to do the same thing for eBay. Whats next!
and it would be much more 'socially acceptable' than your typical DDoSing...
I'm fairly certain that the majority of the people doing DDoS's from Anonymous don't really care if its socially acceptable as they probably don't socialize very much...
Well what they should have done is done their attack on Black friday when their normal traffic is at its highest, and then give them even more with their DDoS attack. Then not only would they actually had a chance of taking down the site, they would have also in turn had a chance of having Amazon loose more business since it would have been such a busy day for them.
Well, if someone truly wanted to then they could cut the keyboard or mouse cord and bring their own USB A female connector with wires attached and connect it that way. But OTOH that probably wouldn't work if they were PS/2 mice/keyboards.
I find http://wiibrew.org/ to be very useful for wii Homebrew. The wii's main homebrew scene is completely against piracy. Their main goal is to allow you to do what you want on your wii, like play SNES, N64, NES, etc. games on your wii, along with other open source games. There are also movie players that allow you to play movies off of a networked drive or a USB drive plugged into the wii.
Sure, you can find guides for playing.iso's that you have downloaded but it can get a little tricky to do.
Nintendo doesn't put any (major) efforts towards stopping people from "Hacking" their systems. Look at the Wii, you can install the HomeBrew channel on every Version currently with at least two different options.
I'm not sure about you, but I would rather them use a broken DRM system vs. one that is ridiculous and annoying (Assassin's creed 2 anyone?, which was broken too... but). Sure it might not be as good as no DRM, but I would take what you can get.
Have you ever left a 4 year old on his/her own for an extended period of time? If so I would appreciate having your phone number and address so I can call social services on you.
I'm also in a state that got switched to Frontier and I would much rather have verizon's terrible customer service over Frontier's even worse and brain dead customer service. At least when I had Verizon I never had any connectivity problems, or high pings/latency. Now with frontier there are times when I don't get access to the internet, don't get my advertised speeds, and I get high pings/latency (highest I've had so far is ~3000ms). Its terrible. I would much rather be back on Verizon.

Current_year = n
Year_of_Linux_Desktop = N+1
By this reasoning, we are only 1 year away! I can already see everyone I know switching their PIII computers from XP to Debian or Gentoo!
Since Office 97 was released in November of 1996, it would be very possible for him to have gotten 12 years of use with it, since 1996 + 12 == 2008 :)
I don't know why anyone would want to do that though, but I guess if it works why change?
Now big brother can watch every bit of my life...
What if his UNIX boxes are being ran on SPARC processors? How is he suppose to run windows on those?
Linux isn't the open source platform of choice right now, I thought Haiku was.

Why would it matter if you have the same IP address you've had for several years? Whats wrong with switching to a different one?
No wonder why everyone sees the linux community as a bunch of evil nerds up to no good.
Ah, thats what I figured
Ah, that would make things a bit more secure then.
Just out of curiosity, what exactly is this machine used for that requires such high levels of security?

from TFA "a new ad format that lets users skip over ads they aren’t interested in "
I'm not interested in any ads so can I just skip out of all the ads?

Don't forget about your IPv6 ready monitor and vacuum. Oh, and don't forget that it will probably be labeled with works with "Windows Vista/7".
They'll probably just keep nesting NATs for a while though, unfortunately...
I'd love to have her come by 127.0.0.1 and give me a more visual demonstration.
The line has been busy,but I will keep trying!

Shouldn't they think outside of the box? Why not have a patch Monday so they can be one step ahead of microsoft?

are you sure it isn't 42?
