    the fact you are only focused on web design shows your shallow experience in the possible world of software, when I buy a 1200$ gizmo I dont want to spend months getting it to work with some hippy shit, it ships with .net and vs references and examples getting the gizmo up and doing its job in a custom application nearly instantly

    so piss off, as you know nothing about the world of software outside of your 6 week course in a strip mall based on a single buzzword

    daylight savings time happens when the days are longest, if the entire reason for it is that poeple dont like driving home in the dark why the hell doesnt it happen during the winter when it gets dark out 4-5 hours earlier than it does in DST?

    FTDI has .... interesting level of support, they THINK they are the only ones in the universe with a USB to various serial devices, but they are not, prolific chips are easier to design with since they are pretty much a drop n go part, TI and Microchip have some good ones, and any yahoo can take a cheap usb device capable micro and make their own which is what arduino did years ago.

    so I applaud you FTDI for taking a stand, DONT make it a pain in the ass for me, the guy who has no problems using someone else's chip in my design
