Who cares? Just get a.org address instead. Who really gives a flying flip what your website ends with. I think I'll take over a new domain. I'll call it.whocares
I disagree with the point about buying Sega. Why would Microsoft buy a company that has a history of lying to its customers, putting out faulty products which they don't support for very long and then throwing a brand new one on you once you realize how terrible the old version was. Oh wait...
My comments are more about it's great propganda push which ripped the rug out from under the feet of all it's customers. It's was a good attempt at a next generation system. However it turned out ot be lacking in several areas. No to mention the PS2 ripped it apart.
The picture I get of Microsoft when I read articles like this, is that of a spoiled child who wants all of the toys, wants them his way and wants them right away. However eventually this child grows up and learns that he has no friends. In Microsofts case, the child has grown up and learned to beat the other children with his toys.
My 8-bit Nintendo is now a full fledged CVS server. I hacked up the insides and added an IDE controller and network card. Unfortunately, do to processor limits it only supports hard drives of no more than 300 Megs.
Not only that, there exist Protocol limitations which only arise under a gigabit situation. These occur in the TCP header.
The first is the flow window for TCP is somewhat inssuficient to express the window which could possibly be used under gigabit assuming a fast enough processor to empty the buffers at a fast enough rate.
Current implmentations of TCP congestion control increase at a relatively slow rate when compared to the speeds possible with Gigabit.
Because of the amount of packets that can be on the network at one time under gigabit it gives rise to possible sequence number problems. Packets laying around on the net from a previous connection could arrive "late" and appear to be a part of the current connection. This is an unlikely occurrence however it has a much greater probability of happening under gigabit.
I am somewhat tired and sleep deprived so take my comments with a grain of salt.
And you offer 0 reasons why this doesn't devastate evolution.
I'm not making bold statements about the correctness of evolution. I am merely calling on you to back up your statement.
Reasons? Okay, first of all, evolution says that the Bible is false.
Wrong. Evolution does not mention anything about the bible. It mereely describes how organisms have developed over time. Certain people use the theory of evolution to show the bible is incorrect in some respects. In actuality the Bible and evolution go hand in hand if you go back to the ancient Hebrew interpertations. The word translated to day in most English Bibles actually means period of time in Herbrew.
The Bible says that there was a global flood.
Modern science says there was a global flood. Modern sciecne also says evolution is correct. Your methodology is flawed.
I love how you have attempted to disprove a theory with incredible amounts of evidence with a one sentence corrolation.
Check it: the DOJ has found that their business model is monopolistic and anti-competative.
That line should read: "Check it: The Pre-Ashcrof DOJ has found their buisiness model is monopolistic and anticompetative" The current DOJ seems to have priorities to getting the economy rolling and trampling constitution as opposed to upholding the law(correction Pre-Ashcroft law).
Everytime I start to feel bad about downloading a movie over the web, I think of all of the terrible movies that I wasted money on and then I feel better.
"linux is where solaris was 5 or 10 years ago"
Yep. It's on everyones servers
This just shows what coding Perl will do to you.
From their decision it looks like the states are commited to beating Microsoft. They obviously want this to get solved now.
On the other hand if they had waited this out it would have been severely damaging to Microsofts case. Oh well.

With that much money you'd think they could buy a decent operating system
Especially if the priest was catholic and it came from a child porn site.
I mean no disrespect to honest hard working catholic priest.

I bet the guy who modded me down was a dreamcast fan. Suck it up and get a PS2.

Using the dreamcast as a webserver will give the Dreamcast new life considering it's gaming aspects are completely worthless
Yeah, this is somewhat unrealistic however it would be enormously funny. Let them waste money looking at Linux machines.
If rumors of a possible intel buyout of sun are true, I wonder how the prospects of continued support for x86 will fair.
Unfortunately this is a way of competing. Microsoft has chosen to take the Toyna Harding approach.

Simple. It was so trivial that you should be able to figure it out in less time than it would take to render the page.

THere have got to be better choices there.

Because, Gnome 2.0 will be out about the same time that HURD comes out.
What would our options be if we knew a deadly one was coming? Panic?
