Hmm... could someone use your/. account to commit a crime in your name?
Think:
* Libel
* "Possessing information of use to a terrorist organisation"
* "Inciting racial hatred"
Not sure about US laws, but you can't say whatever you like in the UK...
Of course the same goes for newpaper sites that let people leave comments etc.
Seriously, this looks like a typical "storm in a teacup to get people to take me seriously as a security researcher" notification.
Who here really lets any password manager save any password they care about? I have Opera save details for systems that don't matter, everything else I just remember.
Check out the website for more information about this astounding company.
Why not just post them a CD with the database on it. You can always password protect it to keep it safe.
I see you work for EDS. Their customers include...
http://www.eds.com/about/locations/uk/
I misread "One of the things I personally am really interested in is the move over to SSD" as "to BSD" and nearly lost my coffee all over my laptop....
Ah, it's an.au site reporting on a.uk product. I guess it takes a while for them to catch up. Next we'll be hearingt how their aiforce is mightating to jet engines.
Anyway, here's a user review:
"I have been married for 2 years , and I am an avid gamer... the last few months of my marrige have been hell. My wife threatened to leave me because I spent too much time playing games and not enough time with her. I stumbled across Gamercize on the internet and explained it to my wife, she thought it was a fantastic idea... I lost a stone and a half using Gamercize and am looking better than ever, my wife is happier now that I am fitter and don't need to go to the gym. This is why Gamercize saved my marrige, and in case you were wondering my wife is now 2 months pregnant.:)"
At the risk of sounding like Yoda there's no win or lose here. This "war" on terror is so ill defined it can go on for ever without having ever reaching a conclusion. Meanwhile soldiers and civilians will be killed, more people will grow up to be radicalised (is that really a word?), more arms will be sold and more reconstruction contracts will be signed.
Are you talking about the Iraq war? That has nothing to do with Afghanistan (and Guantanamo Bay). We were told that Iraq supported the 11th September attacks, but we now know we were lied to. I was always against the Iraq war and I'm saddened that we went through with it because what I (and many others) believed would happen now has. We're caught up in a mess with no hope of a simple resolution - the country's fucked and it's our fault. I don't feel good that I've been proved right, I feel angry that it was done in my name.
Why would you want to run Fedora on a server in the first place? If you're after the RedHat goodness then CentOS would make more sense. Hey I like Fedora, and run it on my laptop, but I sure as hell don't want it on any of my servers (or even any of my users' workstations).
The problem is thatI only realised that a year or so ago and stopped making karma increasing jokes about then. Used to be the easiest way to bump up karma after a few dodgy comments....
Because some people live and work in the real world. Not everyone runs a webserver just to show off their Pokemon collection, some of us get paid money to do this sort of thing - and sometimes the people paying the money want to use Microsoft.

I can see why you post anonymously!
You're assuming that the metric used by this company/person actually means something...
Who??

It's La Niña.... not some chick called Nina.

Is that meant to be funny? I don't give a fuck that FreeNAS is BSD, I just know it works. OS zealots can just grow up or fuck off, I don't care which.
Have I got the wrong end of the stick or are you talking nonsense?
Okay, my answer:
- Buy a cheapo PC
- Put in two hard disks
- Install FreeNAS (www.freenas.org)
- Find some way of backing this data up....
I don't know if this will come in at under $500, but you have a chance!http://www.gamercize.net/

Moderation irony?
Could you *ever* edit posts????

Seriously, all you have to do is install using the nVidia binaries and you're away.

They *used* to. Sounds more like he's old here....
...they'll somehow find child pornography on the tiles.
I'd want to be told how many reams of sheet music. Reams? No, make that furlongs of score.
Sounds like a vote for sanity to me....
Tumbleweed drifts past....
And I guess you're employed full time... flipping burgers?

Every cloud has a silver lining...
I guess this article being in the "Book Reviews" section wasn't a giveaway?
