Let me start with the fact that I don't use DSD. But I use mpd as my primary music player. If you are like me and don't check for updates or search for new features very often then perhaps you have not seen this and perhaps it is of no use. Apologies if I am wasting your time.

  11. Re:How Safe Is Cycling? on How Safe Is Cycling? · · Score: 2

A lot of the issues you are addressing stem from the fact that roads are no longer set up for cyclists. Cyclists are legal road users. They are entitled to be on the roads. However the stop signals simply do not work for cyclists. A bicycle will not trigger the sensors under the road. Therefore it is necessary to become a pedestrian at that time which is utterly ridiculous. Hence cyclists are "encouraged" to ignore signals. Or they are "encouraged" to use the sidewalks.

The shoulder is not for cyclists. It is for emergencies. Cyclists have a legal right to use the road as well as us. They are just slower. It is annoying and aggravating to drive slowly, but that's way it is.

Riding without a helmet is also legal.

    And, bikes were here first.

Horses have the same issues. There are less of them because they are inconvenient and expensive. Let's thank our lucky stars there are not more on the roads.

Exactly - the cable we get here in Colorado is Comcast HD. The image quality is not all that great. Honestly, the UK had better quality with 625 line PAL 30 years ago. It is not the HD spec that's the problem. It is the bandwidth allocated to the transmission. Sometimes the picture can be really terrible. Now, if you try to switch back to a "regular" channel, it is like trying to watch an old Youtube video of a VHS rip. The regular channels have a very tiny amount of bandwidth allocated.

    I agree with you.
It seems that a large portion of the /. crowd just cannot read between the lines and require points to be spelled out. Perhaps, if they received a better education and used their HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) which was under discussion a few years ago when Texas wanted to ban this in schools, they would have understood what you meant in your submission.
Now you could consider this comment a bit of a troll. It is undeniable. However, just try to understand the point that is being made by a submitter before modding it. (This submission included).
